Yes Peegai im a heavy metal, german industrial etc girl myself, the people i dislike more are the ones who claim to be metallers or "goth" etc to try and look hard, or cool, technically trying to fit into a scene they want to associate with or be something theyre not, and have no idea about the music/scene itself they try to associate themselves with or they do the fake im a true goth routine but listen to the music they publically diss.
The amount of people ive seen do the whole im a such and such fan blabla then list their fave bands, do the whole im a real goth pish then when you ask them about the bands they apparently like they know nothing about the songs or the bands and its apparent theyve made it up to try look cool.

I believe a mediator should keep themselves openminded, but I don't believe that this equates to fence sitting. The fact is in cases that need mediation (especially so for the kind that might be needed on Intensity) it isn't always a case of black and white, one party isn't always completely innocent. To me a mediator will listen to both sides without letting their preconceived notions of either side's character colour their judgement- I don't call that fence sitting or wussing out and I actually think that more people should try to do that. Sure a mediator has to try to be unbiased but I don't agree that that means you can never stand up for those who need you to- which is why I think two mediators working together is a much more workable idea than one trying to argue the case for both sides.
I also disagree with you that honesty isn't a neccessary quality for a mediator (I realise you didn't explicitly claim that it wasn't but you did imply it by saying you were too honest for the role)- I believe a mediator has to be honest, especially with themselves- even, no especially if that means they have to look at a situation objectively and realise if their feelings towards a person involved are getting in the way of them making a honest assessment of the situation. There's nothing honest about 'convicting' someone with no evidence other than your gut instinct-especially if both parties involved seem to have something against the other.

Jizz, as far as the ballet goes its been quite a while even though i still do some of my stretching exercises, yoga, bharatnatyam etc which you probably already know. It wasnt that long since ive been to watch a ballet, even though the best show i ever went to was when i was about 13, it was a circus/ballet show performed by dancers and contortionists from Moscow, it was amazing. As for swimming, i cant be arsed with that. I go and feed ducks and swans now and then though. ;)
Well pretty much, McJagger, i simply also just found a few popular fairy tales, childrens stories patronising and pathetic (even when i was younger) in the way they came across and some of the messages they sent out mainly to little girls, the whole victim mentality, needing someone else to save them, needing a prince/needing to depend on the prince etc. Some old tales etc had some things in them that could be translated into having interesting undertones that could teach certain things, but others were highly patronising and pathetic, associating females with being victims who couldnt save themselves and needing to rely on others (usually the male) and the men were associated with being heros who thought mythical beasts, saved the woman and the day. I was more interested in the Japanese, Indian and Egyptian mythology/fairytales as a kid to be honest, because alot of them werent as bad, and women had a fair amount of equality, recognition or strength etc in them, she wasnt simply just a victim due to her gender.
Of course there are some men who allow themselves to be walked over, and end up playing victim etc too, but some other men wrongly associate some guys who have or show empathy/understanding/sensitivity or showing feelings/emotions with being a victim or a woos, when that isnt necessarily true. It depends what your defintion of being a victim/playing the victim/being so called over emo is. If your looking for a good idea of a male victim in my opinion one we could all easily point to as an example is someone like RobertN.

However i personally think the old fashioned stereotypical traditional western assigned gender traits such as some (not all) which i listed below are exactly what causes flaws in both genders, because these traits became too common and easily accepted by alot of people instead of being aknowledged for what they were which was simply assumptions and stereotypical norms for the time. The traditional stereotypical traits are which has caused alot of problems and do still cause alot of problems, especially ones encouraging victim mentality in women and denial or ostrich philosophy in men, amongst the many other countless problems/issues. There was way too much emphasis on gender traits by automatic rather than individual personality assessment or flexibility, choice etc for a long time but thankfully there were/are people of both genders who have had the common sense to see how pathetic some of these old fashioned automatically assigned gender traits were/are and have dismissed or dispelled quite a few of them, especially women who have been more determined to show that they are stronger etc than they were given credit for and can do just as well if not better than a man.
The old stereotypes for men, once played its part in encouraging or defending rape behaviour (still does to an extent) and once upon a time (still present in some cultures etc) permitting or being an excuse for violent behaviour, they are also to blame for the biggest problem in the form of denial, failure to accept or refusal to come forward also bad after effects, an encouragement of certain behaviour patterns etc in relation to being a male sexual abuse survivor, actually in alot of cases a general survivor of any type of abuse etc unfortunately, a big proportion become victims of their assigned gender traits and not just the abuse they have suffered.

I started plucking my eyebrows into shape way back (groomed, and not plucked completely clean, as i just find that bizarre and rather bad tranny like), i dont really need to pluck them much, they tend to stay in their shape, with just the odd hairs growing back now and then. Theres not much maintenance involved lol.

Im just totally indifferent to this place now, i see so much wrong with it which can be frustrating, but i think it works for quite a few of you guys (whether its a hinderance, ignorant bliss, an escape, a venting space, a way to ditch the usual constraints on how you behave or whatever). Im an NT (shouldnt have been here anyways) and this definitely is a site for people with AS etc.

I hate to see you go, but one last question, before you're gone, please.There are people i like here and things also that i like about here (ive browsed other forums but didnt partake in them, this is only forum ive decided to keep at, as i usually find them a bit well uninteresting, boring etc), but recently there are things which i find frustrating (possibly as an NT), and the recent hypocritical "revenge for Hannah Caps" thing was sort of making me shout "Pottle, Kettle, Black" given some of the goings on here (which were less that desirable and very questionable to someone like me as an NT and an ex counsellor etc) and the objectives, no rules of Intensity etc. I just seen so much potential in here to start with etc, but the place seems to have drifted and just got staler, and gotten lower and lower down my estimations, it needs improvements in some areas, but i just dont know if it will get to that stage of being anything more, now its gotten comfortable where its at so to speak and some may not get where its going wrong, especially in dealing with certain things etc. Thats all i was getting at DirtDawg. Im very outspoken (not to mention say my piece whether its welcome or not) and at times very blunt, but i also have respect for serious issues, handling things properly, and i cant be bothered with double standards. Ive rolled my eyes alot, which isnt good. Id just like to see this place flourish, but i dont see much hope in regards to that at the moment.
Why is that, often, when people do decide to leave a site, as a goodbye speech, they state in detail, all the reasons why they should stay, using them as reasons to go?
Is it so that, if someone tried to convince you to stay, that all the good arguments are perceived as inapplicable? I'll never understand why this is, but please, try to explain it to this thick skulled autie.

Even tho i have an official Dx i dont really class myself as AS any more (with the occasional slipup ;D no-one's perfect afterall), and it seems that having an NT or three around is good for variety and an alternative perspective ;D

Hmm theres a few, one of the most obvious was getting rid of my dad, then finding out 2yrs ago he drove into a gritter van, nearly died and was in hospital, he contacted me and asked if i was gonna send him a "get well soon" card, i told him the only card id be sending would be to his new family saying "better luck next time" . ;D
