Was roaming Yatube and kinda found this and I'm amazed about her beautiful singing voice.
Agnes Obel - Avenue (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i0fXVNXF-M#)
She made some more quiet, (qua instruments), songs also. Maybe, if wished, look for Agnes Obel on Youtube and find them. For sure she's a very gifted lady.
The Cure - In Between Days (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scif2vfg1ug#)
yesterday i got so old.... :hair:
Yes, always loved the cure. Not so much their 'charty' stuff
although i always admired 'Inbetween Days' and 'Boys Don't
Cry' is a bit of a sentimental one for me :pinkbeat:
Some of the stuff off their older albums are the dogs bollox!
this is just for my bleeding heart then (when it was a healthy
pinky/red colour and not the shrivelled black organ that farts
occasionally to keep the blood flowing that i am left with) :violin:

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don’t criticize
What you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’
Please get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin’
Ok, Layla, is a classic too

If you can get it Hyke will you post it? please
It's 'blurred lines' by 'Robin Thicke' the uncensored version
oh why is everything censored! ffs
^Will look it up. My setup is decent so there's probably some fun to be had.
Hans Zimmer is one of my favourite soundtrack composers, btw. "Crimson Tide" and "The Thin Red Line" are both mind-blowing.
My bi-amped sub system can not play that low, but it "TRIES!!!!!" and the couch and everything the "violent air" touches rumbles and follows a series of wavefronts - actually several with each cannon blast.

^This.
I lol'd. I've had my share of setting up cinema sound racks trying to do this sort of thing, with, um, varying results.
With the advent of digital soundtracks, all of a sudden the old setups could no longer do what they were supposed to. Optical sound was great fun to set up but neither the highs or the lows were anywhere near the dynamics of this new thing.
And I'm showing my age and my grumpiness. Dolby Digital is not new and hasn't been for years. It's just that I really like optical. I like its characteristics and I love that the skill needed to properly set up the A chain would decide if the investment in the B chain was worth it.

I am amazed that your point escaped me.
I am all digi, most of the time.
I am NOT reality. My rig is mostly home commercial. I do have rather ridiculous sub systems and fronts, but no more than a theater might have.
As far as optical, I have so many ways to decode the digi stream, I may have lost track of where I started and where I might want to end up.
I do know that with either of my favorite decoders, feeding my Denon with analog or the straight through approach, I am quite happy and ready to shut most arguments down in the first few moments of one of my movies.

Mine is a Denon 4311.
I am more impressed by some of the Pioneer gear out there that is 9.2 an has built in electronic crossovers, enabling you to have one hundred fifty watts per channel AND bi-amp capability for your fronts and rears. So keeping with 5.1 for your surround format these receivers can bi-amp all your surrounds AND offer two different sub channels for controlling your room nodes a little better. Remember, two subwoofers are better than one and four are better than three, regardless of whether you choose to go really deep and actually biamp a massive subwoof system as I have done.
Yes, I have blind spots in my sub system, but even with my dated Denon, no blind spots in the above sub, hearing rather than feeling range. I still have to deal with a home living area and so room treatments are impractical and I am just lucky to have enough space to hide a subwoofer system that is capable of shaking the floor and the surrounding sidewalks.
Honestly, I think that "voice-matching" your surrounds with your fronts is far more beneficial than bi-amping all around. Some people think that sounds which are emitted from behind you are less important than sounds that are coming from in front of you. Kind of a mistake.
Once I got all my 5.1 speakers to match (all vintage JBL, Cabaret series, custom made by my own hands), it just seemed as if everything just got easier and the dynamics were/ARE amazing and I never run out of headroom, even when playing at headsplitting levels.
With my system, I can only bi-amp the fronts and it DOES make a difference

"My Name Is Mud"
My name is Mud
Not to be confused with Bill or Jack or Pete or Dennis
My name is mud and it's always been
'Cause I'm the most boring sons-a-bitch you've ever seen
I dress in blue-yes navy blue
From head to toe I'm rather drab except my patent shoes
I make 'em shine, well most the time
'Cept today my feet are troddin' on by this friend of mine
Six foot two and rude as hell
I got to get him in the ground before he starts to smell
My name is Mud
My name is Mud, but call me Alowishus Devadander Abercrombie
That's long for Mud so I've been told
Told that by this sonsabitch that lies before me bloated blue and cold
I've got my pride, I drink my wine
I'd drink the finest except I haven't earned a dime in several months
Or were it years
The breath on that fat bastard could bring any man to tears
We had our words, a common spat
So I kissed him upside the cranium with an aluminum baseball bat
My name is Mud

I love Beth Hart. She's got an awesome voice.
The Blues that come out of that woman can bring a tough guy to tears.
Did you know she also plays most of the instruments?
... all that is aside from being in her mid forties ans still kind of hawt.
Hotness is awesome, but being OLD and hot is a whole different level of hotness. You young guys may not get this for a while.

Lyrics for Gopher Gary:
Great green globs of greasy, grimy gopher guts,
Mutilated monkey's meat.
Bitty Baby Birdy feet
French fried eyeballs soaking in a pool of blood,
And me without a spoon
