I clean the men's restrooms, clean the ashtrays and empty the trash, vacuum the lobby rugs, polish the brass, clean the picture frames, refill the caddies and the bottles, put the dirty linen in the bins, do linen inventory, bring stuff to guests, wash the glasses, hang up the uniforms, do turn downs, room checks, sweeping the stairwells, dusting the top of coke machines and ice machines, mopping the stairwells, and dusting the service doors.
Note: I don’t do all of this on the same day.
I like my job except I don’t like being interrupted what I’m doing and I hate being called on my breaks. Don’t the office clerks ever look on the paper that I have clocked out for lunch.

No.
I am talking about the color of the light they emit. The sun emits a wide spectrum of light with a somewhat balanced proportion of each color (not really, though) which our eyes, supposedly, interpret as white light. Flourescent lighting has a most disturbing color to me, unless it is specifically designed to emulate sunlight or "summer" light. That is the only problem I have with flourescent lighting. I can handle the noise, but the color is very distracting.
You are lucky not to see the light from an incandescent light flicker at the frequency of the wall current, which is different in the USA, compared to some European countries. All of the lights in my house are directional (except for one my wife uses to read) and point at either the wall or the ceiling and the light is diffused and softened by bouncing it instead of using it directly into the room. That helps a lot.

I only seen the flicker when they get real bad, one of them is annoying at work in one of the linen closet's. It goes on and off and some others that have gone out, I seen a faint glow in them in the storage room. I notice they get brighter though after they turn on.

I understand that point of view, but there are very difficult issues to deal with if you do not potty train your kids.
For example, if you want your children to go to preschool, most preschools won't accept a child who is not potty trained. Where we live, there are probably 100 preschools and only two which will accept a child still in diapers, even if that child has an underlying medical issue or an IEP. I faced that issue with my daughter. When she started kindergarten in a public school, she was somewhat protected from discrimination by her IEP, but I don't know what would have happened if she had not had one.

Because the rest of the world isn't that weird and believe it or not, your kids will have to face the world sooner or later. No matter how you put it, you are the anomaly here, not the rest of the world. Send your kids to school wearing diapers and the others will kill them, figuratively speaking.

It'll be up to them if they want to wear or not. If they don't want to wear anymore, it's their choice. I'm not going to force them to stay in them. I have heard about kids still being in diapers because they were never potty trained. There was a kid in my brother's grade who wore them and this was back when he was in 2nd grade. Why did he wear them? I don't know but I do know he wasn't in a wheel chair or psychically disabled in anyway.

He and his girlfriend (now his ex) could never get her potty trained, they tried till she was eleven and then they put her back in them telling her either she wears them or she stops wetting and messing herself and she picked diapers and has been wearing them ever since. What do you mean it won't be up to them? Parents have told me their kids have stopped wearing diapers on their own. My high school English teacher tried potty training her boy when he was two but she couldn't get him to use the toilet so she gave up and put him back in them and then 6 months later her son decided he didn't want to wear them anymore. When I was 17, another high school student had a one year old who was already potty trained because she had decided she didn't want to wear them anymore either. One of my mom's cousin's kid's decided to give up wearing them too when she was two. When I was three I didn't want to wear diapers anymore either so I started taking them off all the time but I had accidents up untill I was about five.
See, some kids do decide for themselves they want to stop wearing. Even I decided for myself without my parents deciding to take them away. But with my brothers, my parents decided for my brothers when it was time to quit instead of letting them choosing on their own when they wanted to quit. As a parent, you do find signs of when your child is ready to be potty trained. My brothers were two and a half when my mother started putting them on the potty chair.

Spokane Girl has a good point that it is better to look for some signs of readiness before toilet training begins. I think I was trained before I was two, but a lot of kids would not be ready to even start training so young. The thing is, in all those cases she mentioned, the parents had to make an effort to teach the children. This is not something kids learn completely on their own.

Actually I've liked diapers since I was nine years old. It just came back to me one day I wanted to wear them again. I was ashamed of it though because I knew it wasn't normal because nobody else wore them except for kids who were disabled so I never said anything until I was 12 when I found the AB/DL community on the internet and was very thrilled. I knew I wasn't alone and told my mom and dad about it but my mother told me none of it was real and it was all sick and twisted so I must have buried the thoughts in my head because I didn't want to wear anymore either or even be a baby. But I still continued going to the sites and reading stories about adult babies and diaper lovers. It was obvious I was still in the desires but was in denail. Then I was 17 when I rediscovered the fetish and I did find out there are people out there who wear for fun just because they like too and all the homepages I have seen were real, not made up. I started chatting to other diaper lovers too and adult babies. Took me a few months to actually decide to buy myself some diapers. My parents found out I was wearing but never stopped me or did anything about it. Of course my mother couldn't tell me none of it was real like she did before. Sure the stories are fictional but not the community.
There have been other people in the world that have liked diapers too since they were young. Some have even liked them their whole lives and never wanted to quit but their parents forced them too. Even my boyfriend's son didn't wanna quit wearing when he was little and it took them a year and a half to potty train their boy. He has no desire to wear but my boyfriend thinks in the next few years he will want to wear them again. My boyfriend never wanted to potty train his kid in the first place because he has to wear them but his ex girlfriend wanted him potty trained, he didn't want to potty train his daughter either but his ex wanted her kids potty trained so he did it but they could never get their oldest one potty trained so she is still in diapers. She wore pull ups before but was put back in diapers at age 11 after being told by a psycholigst that because she has started her period, they will never get her to stop wetting and messing herself so they gave their daughter two options, either she stops or she wears diapers 24/7 so she picked diapers just what she always wanted. All the other psychologists told them to give their daughter two options, either she wears them or she stops wetting and messing herself.
And how did my mother do me a disservice? She figured I wasn't ready so she put me back in them. She was going to try again after having my brother but fortunitly I gave them up on my own so she didn't have to try forcing me out of them again.

what parents do isn't always pleasant to kids. i had to get braces when i was a kid but i didn't want to, i was really reluctant and i ended up taking them out before i should have, and now i regret it because back then i didn't realize how important it would be for me to have straight teeth and how expensive it would be later for me to get braces. my mom didn't force me, and i don't blame her or anything but i do wish she would have been stricter with me about the braces and made me wear them longer. now i get headaches from my teeth not to mention my self-esteem is in the crapper and part of the reason is my teeth. what i'm saying is a parent has to look out for her/his children because they don't always know better. and you can't let your own diaper fetish color your judgement when your kids are liking their diapers for different reasons. children don't like them because of a fetish, and if they later do start to like diapers you can be supportive. just don't impose the diapers on them or leave your kids hanging when you should be teaching them to be without diapers so they can learn to use the toilet and control their bodily functions.

i don't hate anyperson.
i just find a good debate interesting. there are soo many positions. it is always difficult to take a side. but on this one, i think that the initial misunderstanding was the one that you made. then, you attacked her, elsewhere. all she really did, as far as i can see was defend herself, and try to explain herself.

I even go to my buddies and ask them what people mean and then they tell me so I go back and post. In real life my mother even has had to help me with answering questions I was unsure about or if I didn't understand it. I was a lot worse when I was 17. Back when I started posting on the forums, gosh I was so naive it was ridiculous, I couldn’t even tell when someone was kidding, playing with me, etc. I was extremely gullible. Lot of people liked it and lot of people didn’t so they flame me pick me as their victim. You think I enjoy my stupidity? You think I like who I am? I feel like I’m on drugs because I can’t understand the concept what I just read. I hope it’s something I will outgrow eventually. I get told by my family I will get better as I get older. I will learn more and keep on maturing. My mother was the same way too when she was my age. Very naïve. I have heard about my other relatives being naïve too when they were young and then they grew out of that innocence as they got older.

Essentially Spokane, I have always treated you with respect and dignity with your fetish. Then you started asking me in my Ask Away thread to change your diaper and I said no. I gave you the benefit of the doubt for being slow and further I defended you and even had an argument with Calandale over being him being mean to you for being a little slow.

No she accused me of pretending I act like I don't understand what is being asked or said to me and it hurt my feelings. It happened in the Submissions board when I posted a chapter to my new story. It was a misunderstadning because she meant my diaper play and I thought she was telling me I act like I don't understand what is being said to me. I found out when I was reading her new posts after the incident and I was like 'oh' but it's too late now because the issue has gotten beyond to be resolved. We have already said nasty things about each other and brought each other down.
It's not too late. You could try to understand one another now, then you can move forward. That's what we do. Everybody makes mistakes, it's what we do to try to correct them that matters. Continuing to try to punish Eclair is counterproductive.

Well if it was my child who did it, here is what I'd do.
Ask her why she was wearing the diaper. She might not tell the truth because she be embarrassed about it. If you have a problem with her wearing diapers, I'd the hide them and keep them hidden. I'd keep counting them to see how many are left and count them everytime I am changing my baby to make sure none of them are missing. I wouldn't want my child to keep on taking them (that might surprise you guys) because they cost money to buy and I wouldn't want to buy them more often because I run out of them faster. Sure I'd let my child wear them because my husband and I keep buying them for her but if I was a none diaper lover, I'd keep them hidden and keep counting them to make sure none of them were taken.
If she keeps on doing it, take her to a psychologist like most parents would do after none of the punisments have worked to stop the child from not doing it ever again or talk to a doctor about it to get some advice before you take the psychologist step.
Sorry if I'm not much help but I'm not a parent and thinking about a made up situation isn't always easy.

No. I don't do that. Just because someone gets low scores on it doesn't mean they don't have it. Only time I said someone didn't have AS or autism was to my stalker I had when I was 18 because I didn't even want him to have it because he was using it as an excuse for his behavior to not quit what he was doing. Other people have had problems with him too and he bothered a 15 year old on AIM who was from WP also and came to me and complained about him asking me what does he do to make him go away.
Only time I tell someone they aren't on the spectrum is if I was trying to insult them based on what they did to me because I felt what they did was so NT because it was something an NT would do to me. But I've only done that to one person and that was The Bry-Man, the stalker. That was three years back.

I have noticed that. On others, I have seen hats and shapes. I wasn't surprised when I got high in cognitive skills and working things out, problem solving. I still run to my parents when I have a problem because I don't know what to do about it. I would actually call them if I had a problem since they live 529 miles away or talk to my aunt and uncle.

I get under estimated or over estimated. People don't give me enough credit when they under estimate me and when they over estimate me all of a sudden when they see how smart I am, they assume I can do everything they can do and treat me like dirt when I have troubles with something.
I get told a lot at work "What did I tell you?" I suck at following verbal instructions. I can't remember every single word they say but if it's written down, I can do it. I think it's an ADD trait. But luckily they tell me the same thing again and I write everything down. I even get the numbers turned around in my head and I sometimes hear them backwords or out of place when they tell me the room number and what the guests need.
Luckily the office clerks repeat the numbers the first time they PM me telling me what the guests want.

I have had two so far. The first one had AS traits as well and the second one had AS but he drove me crazy and then he told me I wasn't AS because I'm not into technical stuff as aspies are and I can't hear sounds he can hear, I wasn't as organized as him, didn't care about his apartment being a mess because it wasn't my house, it was his and we weren't staying there forever sp of course the mess won't bother me. Not my residence. I didn't fit the the same sterotypes typcial aspies meet so he said I am not AS just because I did some things late and I seem to have problems that auties have that aspies don't have. I seem to jump up and down the spectrum.
I don't always like my pics being taken because I sometimes look big in them so I only show pics of me online where I look thin. It depends on the clothes I have on or what position I'm in when the pic is being taken.

Fluorescent lights causes seizures in some people, and I am luck its not me. I am wearing bright orange pants now, love those bright colors! It gets me attention and affords me some stimulation, other than the kind I do naturally.. lol. Attention is referring to flirting. Such a blunt bag I am, and after I called my sister one to. My new obsession since February. My boyfriend gave me a hard time about not hearing them and seeing them flicker. He had one in his apartment in the kitchen and he could hear it liud and clear, even with the noise; dishwasher, TV, cooking and keep telling me "You don't hear it" "You can't hear that." His son couldn't hear it either and he claims he is starting to get the condition too. He gave him the same trouble too but did it to me more. But then he stopped when I started to ignore him. Everything had to be quiet for me to hear it but I had to be in the kitchen only for me to hear it. It was just the low humming sound.

What is the meanest thing someone has done to you?
One of my old best friends talking behind my back on the bus ride to school on a Monday morning while I was in Portland seeing my psychologist. She was slandering me behind my back and every Monday morning she talk about me on the bus and say how I scratched her in second grade, etc and not even tell them she was the one bullying me and I was just defending myself and she started to make up stories about me too.
My friends in elementary school giving me pieces of their food to eat during lunch time telling me to eat it and they had already done something to it like it was already on the floor, one of them farted on it, had it in her mouth, etc. and laugh at me when I eat it. I stopped taking things from them when they offer me something like one of their fruit snack, a cracker, etc. When I first moved to Montana, one of my school mates tried to drug me by giving me something to have (it looked like some kind of candy or nut) and because I had been taken advantage of so many times with food, I couldn’t trust anyone so I took it to a nearby grownup who was there and asked her what it was since I didn’t know what it was. She said it was a drug. The student was suspended for three weeks and I didn’t even know she was until she told me when I was 16.
Kids egging me to do things when I was 12 and wouldn’t leave me alone till I did it so I would and I get in trouble. Such as the time I showed them my sports bra when they kept saying I stuff it and they told me prove it so I waited till recess and when we were out in the field and that’s when I did it. They all laughed and I thought it was because I had proved them wrong but my mother said they were laughing AT ME. I didn’t understand the meaning of “laughing at someone†then. I thought it was the same as laughing at a TV show, laughing at a joke, etc. I thought laughing with someone meant laughing when they are laughing.

When I was a little girl I could tell when my parents had the TV on in their room. I'd hear the pitch sound through their door it come all the way to my room even with my door closed. I have seen my aunt and uncle have the TV on in their room and wouldn't even know it was on and I work in a hotel and can't hear the TV except for the voices until I open the door to the room. A woman who was teaching me how to do turndown service couldn't even hear the TV on in the rooms until I opened the door. I can even hear them through the walls and ceilings. I'm talking about when it's not on loud but I'm sure they have it on a little louder on the next floor up or a room over or few rooms over because I think they have the TV on until I open the door and see the TV isn't on so I figure it must be another room. The other lady couldn't hear the voices from TV. Wasn't sure if it was sensitive hearing or because of my young age.

Saw the flicker at some point in POTC 3 i think. The new TV's use a different technology, so they shouldnt hum at all, does your laptop display make a noise?
Most NT's have crap hearing compared to aspies though...

Yeah my laptop makes this humming, squeaky noise. Sometimes it's annoying. Sometimes I can't hear it.

Thats not the display, its the cooling system. You can here it when you are overworking the computer and it therefore needs to dissapate more heat.

I like ice cream with chocolate in it or candy. I like different kinds of flavors so I don't have a favorite. I don't stick with one thing but I used to when I was a kid but then decided I wanted to try different kinds of foods and flavors of things. Makes it more fun.

SG, you mentioned classes in the Away/Back thread. What are they for?
It's for work. The employees have to take them and I missed all five classes due to my broken arm. The boss couldn't just have me come to the classes because she has to follow the policies and the policy is if an employee is off work, they can't attend the classes. I forget what they are about though but I will find out when I go to work.

It's embarassing and I don't like people seeing me cry so I try to hide it. In movie theaters it's a lot easier because the auditorium is dark and only way for someone to know I am crying is if I do sniffles. Even when I am by myself, I still don't like to cry because I don't like to be upset or sad or down. I have learned to turn off most of my feelings but sometimes I will slip back to my old self and have feelings for something or get upset about something.

two and a half years ago i had a blocked intestine. i had a potion of my small intestine removed. after surgery i had to wear a diaper for a few weeks.

I was shopping looking for Benny & Joon and I was looking through the VHS tapes and I put them back and I left but when I was leaving a store I was waiting for the highway to clear up so I can pull onto it and then there was a police car and one of the officer's in it was looking at me and he pointed back and I couldn't figure out what he wanted so I pulled back into the parking lot to see what they wanted and they get out telling me I'm on the wrong side of the road and I said "The road?"
I was aksed to see my lisence and registeration and then I was told to step out and they told me I was arrested for stealing a video tape and I was shocked and then I was scared because i thought someone was playing a prank on me and I thought the whole thing was maybe an act just for a joke and I said "This isn't funny." and they said "Oh this is real all right."
I was taken to their car and they asked for my phone number and he called my parents to tell them I was arrested for taking a videotape and I be at the station. I was handcuffed but I wasn't put in the cell. I was very scared and embrassed and thought it was the end of my life because I knew the whole school would probably know on Monday and all of them would think I was some criminal and stay away from me and tease me for the rest of my high school life.
My parents came to the station and got me and my dad told them to search my car so they did. My parents were appauled how they handeled it. They arrest me for soemthing I didn;t do and they could have searched my car on the spot when they pulled me over but instead they had to arrest and me they were volenteer officers, not real ones.
Of course my whole school knew about the arrest on Monday and everyone asked me why did I get pulled over and they even asked me they heard I was in the police car, why and I told them I was arrested and they were shocked "You were arrested, why?"
No one knew I was arrested till i blabbed it out because I assumed they knew since they knew I was pulled over but it didn't change my life in high school. They just thought it was funny I be falsly arrested because some store owner thought I took something. I didn't go in that store for months and it took me a while to go back in there again.
I did get this for a week "Beth got pulled over" "You got pulled over" and then it died down and I only got it from a few kids in special ed. and then they stopped. Everyone moved on that quick after I told them what happened.

I was shopping looking for Benny & Joon and I was looking through the VHS tapes and I put them back and I left but when I was leaving a store I was waiting for the highway to clear up so I can pull onto it and then there was a police car and one of the officer's in it was looking at me and he pointed back and I couldn't figure out what he wanted so I pulled back into the parking lot to see what they wanted and they get out telling me I'm on the wrong side of the road and I said "The road?"
I was aksed to see my lisence and registeration and then I was told to step out and they told me I was arrested for stealing a video tape and I was shocked and then I was scared because i thought someone was playing a prank on me and I thought the whole thing was maybe an act just for a joke and I said "This isn't funny." and they said "Oh this is real all right."
I was taken to their car and they asked for my phone number and he called my parents to tell them I was arrested for taking a videotape and I be at the station. I was handcuffed but I wasn't put in the cell. I was very scared and embrassed and thought it was the end of my life because I knew the whole school would probably know on Monday and all of them would think I was some criminal and stay away from me and tease me for the rest of my high school life.
My parents came to the station and got me and my dad told them to search my car so they did. My parents were appauled how they handeled it. They arrest me for soemthing I didn;t do and they could have searched my car on the spot when they pulled me over but instead they had to arrest and me they were volenteer officers, not real ones.
Of course my whole school knew about the arrest on Monday and everyone asked me why did I get pulled over and they even asked me they heard I was in the police car, why and I told them I was arrested and they were shocked "You were arrested, why?"
No one knew I was arrested till i blabbed it out because I assumed they knew since they knew I was pulled over but it didn't change my life in high school. They just thought it was funny I be falsly arrested because some store owner thought I took something. I didn't go in that store for months and it took me a while to go back in there again.
I did get this for a week "Beth got pulled over" "You got pulled over" and then it died down and I only got it from a few kids in special ed. and then they stopped. Everyone moved on that quick after I told them what happened.

Oh I been there lots of times. My family always had to go through it to get to Montana and we visit my grandparents there about every month. We even stay in a hotel there outside of it a few times. But the firts time we ever went there to actually shop was in Novemeber 1999 during Thanksgiving vacation. Occasionally, my mother and I would go there and shop and walk around but we only stuck in the downtown area or in Spokane Valley and we didn't go beyond the downtown till I was 18 when Mom wanted to go to some clothing store that wasn't in downtown anymore because they have moved to another location. First time I went there on my own was last September and I was nervous when I did it but figured if I start getting anxiety and start to get scared, just turn the car around and come home but I didn't because I had fun and I didn't get lost. Then i went again in Decemeber for Disney on Ice, and again on December 20th when i was on ym way to Portland. I was there for three hours and left and I was there again the 26th on the way home and was there for five hours and the next times I were there I was with someone. My Dad, then both my parents and then myself and then my boyfriend.
My school also did day trips to Spokane to see plays that were there and I only went to few of them.

Their transportation sucks and my boyfriend is here, not there. I like I don't have to spend my money on gas all the time and only a little bit every month. Nothing good. It be tougher to what to eat because it means no oatmeal, pasta, cereal, bread, milk, butter, cheese, etc. and I wouldn't be very healthy.

There are other foods you know. I don't eat them, and I bet I am healthest one here. I don't miss them for shit, all they did was make me grumpy, mouth sores, and god knowes what else. As soon as I took those things out, I went further, I am happier yet still with no junk in my diet. Qunioa has a more balanced amino acid profile than wheat itself, and its in the same group. Millet is the most nutritious of the grains themselves.

I don't know what stiu is. It's been a while since I dug it out. I have been pooping without having to use enemas to get it all out. If there was lot of it, I'd use enema to get it all out because I was cramping and it wasn't coming out. Now it comes out on it's own without having to use any laxatives. Feels I can't hold it so I head for the bathroom. I won't mess myself at work or out in public. If the poop is too hard and it's all in one piece, it's impossible to dig out because it hurts. It's pushing the poop against my anus and it hurts so the enema does it. It loosens everything up and it comes out.
