So which aspie site is the worst? AFF? Aspiecentral? Aspergic? Autism forums? Hikiculture? Psychforums? Spectrumites? WP?
I lurk a lot and to me it seems weird that there is so much warfare between some of the sites. They seem rather alike to me.
I understand that we're all tired of patwit and his retarded boards. I joined one of them to troll the self appointed deity, but in the end I couldn't even be bothered. He runs the places like a dictator it seems and tries to show off his inane taste in movies any chance he gets. Sorry, I mean films. :LOL:
But what are the main differences between the others? Why do so many of you hate WP? It's a fair enough place to lurk, as good as any of the others. And their colors don't hurt my eyes.
Granted I'm a lurker but I think the biggest differences are the layouts.

Wp- was cool, but after i found out what a scammer alex was i was totally turned off by his board. obviously it used to be alot cooler back in the day but now i just think it sucks bad. especially since alex keeps changing the damn layout and forcing everyone to use fire fox. what a bitch!

He finally fixed it so everyone can see their Inbox, My Account, and Logout again and Log in and Register with IE.
@OP. Lot of people hate WP for their own reasons:
Too much whining and using their AS as an excuse
Too depressing
The color (as you said)
Too active
Power hungry mods
NT bashing
Holier than Thou behavior (aspies acting like we are all better than NTs)
I don't really hate WP but I would have to say that is the worst place because I have never been to a forum where mods change your login information, their way of banning you. Plus no report button so you have to use the PM feature and you don't always know who the mods are. Plus alex never responds and he rarely does. Only reason why I was there was because of the activity despite how bad it was and jerks there but there are jerks everywhere. You can't avoid them unless you plan on staying off the internet for life and stay in your home and never leave. But the place has gotten boring and not much is interesting there and it seems less active. Other aspie forums are less active too so they also bore me but I still go to them when I feel like it to see what is there.
Now after new mods, I don't know if log in information changing just so you can't log in still happens. But I have a bad feeling about one of the new mods because of what happened between him and my friend. So I am no longer fond of him. And not answering PMs really turns me off. I go on another forum too sometimes where one of the mods didn't answer all my PMs. I think if mods can't answer a question and they are just going to ignore it, they lose my trust.

I got banned from WP for no reason so it is easy to say that I think it is the worst place. It was getting too big for my liking as well. I would make a post and by the next day the thread would be on the second page.

WP seemed too restrictive after awhile, and people like Quatermass, Ragtime, paratwat and Sinsbitchly fucked it up.
AFF isn't bad, but you have to really watch what you say.
ZOMG was good, cos it was like here, and the games were something to keep you amused when the forums were slow.
Aspie Central needs to grow a bit more, so I haven't really seen much of how it works. Ian is a good admin.
Here is probably the best I've been on (especially since ZOMG is gone), because you can virtually say what you want and have a good laugh.
Spasticity should have been given a better go, but didn't attract members.
DamnedVillage was the only real one I had huge probs with, and that preceded a meltdown anyway.
chaos got too confusing.
And I haven't been to the Drivel, Gestalt or Spectrumites.

In a vote, I'd have to go with AFF, not so much because of the forums, but more because the owner/admin (Gareth Nelson) is an ignorant, self-centered douchebag who's not worth talking to.

Couldn't agree more. I2 is like it is for a reason, and while I've only been here 2 years, I think it's one of the free-est forums on the 'net. And all the 'restrictions' are spelled out sooner or later, so people should get the point. Other sites it's just 'BAM! your out of here!' with a 'WTF??' and no reply. To change us to something else would be to lose our identity. Nobody wants that.

That was pretty funny when Skyblue1 thought that Chair was the same person as Jean-Felix. I can see why you agreed with him because their eyes did look similar, but their noses were too different, IMO.
That other thread where he asks people to post their favorite members was funny, but I see that it could be divisive.
He's a member here, but he doesn't post much.
If he posted a thread like the locations one here, I would be right there telling people why I think it's a bad idea just like you did.

Now I'm confused because I know his name is Trever and he talks to him on AIM and I have him on my facebook too and he has joined other forums doing this while chair is another person. Chair has even created his own facebook account and I have him on it too.
Heck Bucktoothfarmer is even on WP now as a normal member but I won't say who he is. He even sent me a PM there and I didn't know who he was until he asked me how would I feel if Dwight became a mod there. I remember that and I didn't know what was going on then. I think I saw the thread after it happened while I was searching through her posts. She came off as paranoid and deluded. I didn't see any other things in her people claimed she was like manipulator. I also found some of her opinions disturbing like the time she stood up for that Yhetti person who had this weird belief if you date anyone under 25 years of age and have sex with them, you're a pedophile and people were giving her crap for it. But ironically her daughter was 24 or 25 and she was dating a 26 year old and if I remember correctly, they were engaged but they were waiting till she was over 25 before they got any further because of her mother. But her daughter could just be saying that t her just so she won't frown upon her fiancee and they were just having sex anyway. You never know.

However, I do know he harassed several female members from WP etc. for nudes. Not the silly i2 style of asking, but blackmailing and stalking via MSN/email etc. He tried it on Emma but luckily she didn't comply.

I wasn't banned from Spectrumites. I was de-registered hence why my account there says "de-registered" rather than "banned" . The admin of Spectrumites was actually an admin of my old forum; we were on good terms. I kindly asked him if he'd close down my account and he complied. I wanted my account to be closed due to that whole Jean-Felix thing that went on at AFF; my reputation was clearly fucked after that, so I simply wanted to quit being a part of that board as a lot of Spectrumites' user-base consists of users from AFF.
I called you by your first name because you often left me provocative posts. I knew that you hated being addressed by your first name, and this is why I called you it. I was mad at you at the time, but I no longer feel ill feelings towards you, the other staff members of AFF or the users. Some people from that board who got on my case eventually apologized to me and I eventually messaged various users of that board to apologize. I no longer consider myself as being on bad terms with anyone at AFF and regularly speak to some users of that board via IM.
I know that this post may seem like I'm being all sensitive and such; I'm not. I'd just prefer if this forum drama would end.

I wasn't banned from Spectrumites. I was de-registered hence why my account there says "de-registered" rather than "banned" . The admin of Spectrumites was actually an admin of my old forum; we were on good terms. I kindly asked him if he'd close down my account and he complied. I wanted my account to be closed due to that whole Jean-Felix thing that went on at AFF; my reputation was clearly fucked after that, so I simply wanted to quit being a part of that board as a lot of Spectrumites' user-base consists of users from AFF.
I called you by your first name because you often left me provocative posts. I knew that you hated being addressed by your first name, and this is why I called you it. I was mad at you at the time, but I no longer feel ill feelings towards you, the other staff members of AFF or the users. Some people from that board who got on my case eventually apologized to me and I eventually messaged various users of that board to apologize. I no longer consider myself as being on bad terms with anyone at AFF and regularly speak to some users of that board via IM.

She didn't even tell people on AFF why she was mad at me, so people weren't even given any context. They just assumed me to be an ass because "Lizzy said it! She's an AFF user! If she says that Chair is evil, it must be true!".
She eventually aplogozed to me, over and over again, and repeatedly added me on MSN, but I gave up on her as I was fed up of her bullshit.

I myself prefer strategic games. I do, however, like beer. But I tend to drink micro brew, and various fairly popular imported beers like Hoegaarden, Duvel and Holston Festbock. I'm especially fond of Belgian beers.

I was made a Moderator in September of last year, and an Admin in the November.
Amy was not active at that time, and hadn't logged on in months - Gareth and Couldbecousin were the ones who made the decision to make me a moderator, and then to promote me to Admin.
Mods are chosen according to who is best for the job; who is respected on the forum, intelligible enough to understand easily, able to coherently make an argument and listen to both sides, and preferably, relatively active and capable with the backend.
I fit only three of those, so again, I've NO idea how I got the job. :o
