I have to say, I like the forum software.

I hadn't heard that you were mean per se, though I did notice that there are some who can't type the letters W and P without following it with "fag".  I assume these people have a reason for this reaction and am actually curious about it.

Why would you not be welcome?

OK now that you have settled in I will give you a very quick rundown on the various personalities here and how things work.

Callouts. They are really a meet and greet and of no real consequence. When we like someone and want to discuss it with them we "call out" to them. "Hey dog breath your posting style sucks" or "Hey your opinion on religion sucks retard". We all respond very well to such claims and that is the "call out" section.

Now some of the personalities.

Pentagram is the Sensei of the forum. Really clever guy.

Scrapheap: Very quiet and reserved guy. Has been trying for a long time to bring himself to talk to people. Finds it especially hard to talk to ladies.

Callaway: Very forgetful lady. A great way to embarrass her is to bring up an issue a day before and she will not have any idea she said it or thought it and lose her point of reference. You can easily confuse her.

PPK: Hates confrontation and is very anti-gun and lives in a commune selling craft.

Gluey is a conformist and likes things proper.

Peter is the only member we have from Africa. He is by birth a Pymie and until recently had no inclination what the internet was but has come leaps and bounds in a very short time. He has wonderful stories to tell you of the open plains of Africa and his triumphs against wild beasts whilst protecting his homeland

Butterflies is very quiet almost as quiet as CouldBeCousin. Butterflies as you can tell from the face is a gentle little soul and easily startled.

Theok is shy and demure and easily upset by efforts to bring up anything of a sexual nature. Try it. It is fun. He is such a prude.

Soph is allergic to animal hair and such issues are a sore point for Infidel

Odeon is the owner. He is not that bright and a soft touch here.

Schleed is the nice guy of the forum and the most sensitive by far.

Oh there is also CouldbeCousin who is a real tearaway. She doesn't post much but when she does watch out. Nasty piece of work and in league with HykeasHyke. Be wary of those two.

Sea Tart well not much to say about them they too are very close to the above two ladies

Queen Victoria is pure evil

Renaeden? Well like a venus fly trap this lady will happily wait for her next victim. Then she devours slowly but unlike the fly trap she will laugh all the while.

Zengh is our resident health nut. He is a firm believer of thy body is a temple. He is a hard bastard.

Bodaccea is our most prestigious member. She can trace her Italian heritage back to Julius Caesar. She is a gentle and studious historian working for the National Library of Rome and any conversations about Roman and its incursions against the filthy degenerates that would defy Rome is strongly welcomed.

Smiling Assassin is a diminutive, easily frightened French lady and fairly new on I2. We are not sure she will last.

Eris. More prude in matters sexual than even poor Theok. Very quickly flustered by mention of sexual proliferation or bodily fluid exchanges

Professor Farnsworth? Well you know him already. I think beneath his friendly exterior could well be a latent psychopath

Rage is a well adjusted and yet sensitive you man. He is the boy that every Father wants to have his daughter bring home for a date. Gentle soul.

Have you met Pyraxis?

You will like her. I wrote a special poem for her.

"She is fun and always in good cheer

She will happily rip you from arsehole to ear"

Do you like it?

I guess you will get to know the rest.

Oh of course there is me. I am I admit VERY sensitive and easily hurt. l am the meet and greeter and will steer you well in this little forum to make your life as easy as possible.

Oh as far as calling out I would expect you may wish to find a reason to "callout" to Callaway, Odeon, PPK,  Schleed, and then Butterflies in that approximate order.

Now best be on my way..........

Are you going to post and be a real member here or is this just a reconnaissance mission?

I am not sure what constitutes a "real" member.

If you wonder how active I am going to be, the answer would probably be "not very".  Moderating WP takes up most of my online time.  I am curious to get to know some of you and something about this site, but doubt I have a lot to contribute that is different from what I contribute at WP.

Be you, and post. That is actually all that is required here.
Oh, and don't endanger the site. That is a ban-able offence. About the only thing that can get you banned here.

With all due respect, you aren't that special. Every new member is interesting, it's just a natural curiosity...there's no sinister motives on our part. Maybe because you are used to a big beast of a site like WP with a cast of thousands, you forget that at a smaller site you are treated much more personally and most members know at least a little of each other.

We've had WP Mods here before, it's no big deal. I guess you have that diplomatic 'persona' to uphold.

Shame really. We like it when people get down and dirty and we see the 'real' them, instead of all the moderated discussion over there.

You could really get some street cred here if you posted a pic of your cock  :eyebrows:

It's our special ladies welcome to men. Since the guys were always asking new girls for pictures of their breasts. Rude, aren't we?

It doesn't matter where you come from Midlifeaspie as i think a diverse range of members is required to make any forum worthwhile.  I don't think anyone is uncomfortable that you joined - just a little curious as to why?  To be honest you dont need to justify your reasons,  you can be the dark horse if you want,  but there is lots more to see on here the more you post

To be really clear, there is absolutely no grounds to ban someone from WP for something they do outside WP.  Maybe in the past things have been different, but banning a member isn't a fun activity I look forward to for kicks.  Spammers and blatant trolls need to be banned immediately for the good of the site, but having to ban a participating member who once contributed to the diversity and enjoyment of the community can be seen as a failure on both sides.  I believe that if the rules are unambiguous and easily available just about everyone will choose to follow them.

I also believe that a site full of Aspies should be forgiving of outbursts, meltdowns and other activities that fall outside of a member's normal behavior.  As a moderator I want to work with people, not flex and strut.

I am here to learn.  This site has a long history that is intimately linked to WP, and I just want to understand it.  I have only been a member of WP since November and only been posting since December.  I have now been a moderator for three weeks and I have a lot to learn.

I only posted at WP regularly for maybe a few months, short time, similar to you, when I was introduced to here.

I never really went back to WP very often after that. I found it like going back to primary school - I know it has it's place, and some people get a lot out of it, but I liked it more here where you really got to know most members. I also liked that when I got questioned on my opinion on something, I often found that deep down it was not necessarily wrong, but there were times where I had been hypocritical. I don't think you get that level of self reflection at times over at WP. It just feels like a lot of people in a 'sanitised' environment, which is fine.

I just think that with AS, that's what we are continually expected to do....amend our thoughts, trim our words, restrain ourselves.

I liked that I didn't have to do that here.

It's funny that you ask as nobody ever has before.  When I created that screen name I had known I had Aspergers for about two weeks.  Before I joined WP I thought that a diagnosis at that age must be extremely rare.  One of the first things I discovered over there is that I am not alone in this.  By midlife, I really meant "late diagnosed".  It was a name I didn't put much thought into.  I kept it in coming over here because I wanted you all to know who I was and not think I was trying to sneak in the back door.

Yes. I must agree with that. You're 34/35. That is not mid-life to me. I don't want to be middle-aged until I'm at least in my mid forties. I saw the avater of your kid, and he is cute, but surely you have another 5-10 years before you should even think of being mid-lifed

Funnilly enough, that's why I called myself Butterflies, rather than pick a new username that suits me better. I thought it better that everyone who knows me, knows who I am.

They can test two year olds for autism, and the odds of having a child with autism are higher since you have AS.

Are you going to be having speech therapists over to your house or visiting them at their office?

We started our daughter with speech therapy when she was three and I think that it helped her even though she still has speech issues, mostly with articulation.  Is your son using sign language or PECS at all?  A friend's two year old is learning some signs and he has a few words since starting speech therapy.

Question for you mla:

How does the moderation behavior of the WP staff, the constant deletion and editing of posts, the locking of threads the arbitrary bannings etc... differ in a meaningful way, from the behavior of The Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's 1984??  ::)  ::)  ::)

Oh, yeah, I neglected to mention that a few of us are pissed off with the moderators of WP. I left WP for that very reason years ago as the moderators were bending the rules, abusing their position by being overzealous, over-protective and most importantly ban-happy. It seems nothing has changed, considering the recent drama.

Leejosepho isn't a moderator anymore.  The entire moderation staff at Wrong Planet is less than 4 weeks into the job, and learning as we go.  I have a couple of years under my belt moderating a larger site than WP, but certainly not with the unique challenges that this site presents.

Thought police?  Think what you will, but not every thought that crosses your mind must be expressed.  I have no interest in stifling debate or being a preschool teacher, only in allowing people with social disabilities the space to interact with others without being bullied for entertainment.  Most of you have accounts over there.  Do you really see us doing anything other than this?  Do you think any action taken so far has been petty or personal?  (Leejosepho handled the iamnotaprettybirdie situation single handedly, leading to the current staffing)

I got banned from WP a year ago for telling an old mod I didn't know a user was banned so she sent me my final warning and then she banned me after I bitched about her unfair warning here. Coincidence? I don't think so.

But I am back on the forum as League Girl.

There have been horrible mods on there in the past and TBH I thought you were going to be a horrible one too because a few times I had seen you calling members trolls for threads they make and say they are a suspect and it would make me uncomfortable so when you became a mod, I wasn't sure if you were going to start banning people for no reason just because you thought they were trolling. But I think I may have been wrong about you and you seem to be an okay mod after all. I have not heard anything yet about you banning people for no reason and I hope I won't hear any stories about it by banned members.

After what I have been through, I now judge people harshly when it comes to being a mod. I will think if they will be a good one or not. Even one little thing about them I don't like I will end up thinking they will make horrible mods because abusive mods is the last thing I want to deal with. Even if someone reads my intentions wrong, I will think they would be a bad mod if they were one.

I still like Lee but I still got freaked out by his actions he did as a mod. Last thing we need is another sinsboldly except this one was a decent one and doesn't get all nasty when you don't agree with him and he even answered my PM so that means he was more trustful. At least he doesn't ban people either for not agreeing with his mod decisions. So I started to calm down about him once I saw he is a decent person despite what he was doing. But now it looks like to me he is holding a grudge or is that my imagination? He accused Soph of trying to stir up shit and you told him she hasn't broken any rules. Could he have been mistaken?

Why did she get unbanned? I'm curious.

Not only did you get banned, but she also deleted your and your husband's accounts along with all your posts, which was actually shocking.  IMO, she lost the plot when she did that.

Yeah that too. I was also shocked she did it too because I never ever thought she do something that horrible. But now I know how crazy she is and how horrible she can be and who knows what insane things she can do like making up a story about a banned member to try and manipulate you. I know she did a good job trying to cover her ass about why she did it but I don't buy it because she has broken rules herself and also has multiple accounts. Other members do too and have also broken rules.

What pisses me off is when she mentioned Willium Fruend on there when she was the one who sent me a PM about talking about banned members but she turns around and talks about him. I can't even take her seriously if that is how she acts so it makes her PM she sent me invalid. Please for the love of god don't send members PMs as a mod telling them it's against the rules to talk about banned members and then turn around as an ex mod talking about that same banned member that other member once talked about in the past you sent a PM to them about regarding discussing banned members. It just makes you look bad.

I so wanted to call her out on that but the last thing I need is another drama. I would have loved it if someone else called that out on her but sadly no one did.

I personally have no problem with you being here at all, in fact I welcome you. You might find out that I think Iamnotaparakeet is a giant lump of human smegma, but as long as you dont get me banned from WP because of that, then you and I should have no problems :green:

Best reason to hang out here for a bit longer.
Can be very refreshing to be on a place where you don't have to be a mod to unwind.
Just like you will not ban people at WP about what they say over here, so members here will soon enough react on you as you are here, and not be thinking of you as a WP mod.

In the beginning some stuff from WP will probably pop up now and then, but after a while that will only be done by one or two. Pika, admin on AFF only has Pentagram now and then having a go at him. And we all take Pentagram very serious, when he is in a mode like that.  :screwy:

And, it is very interesting to see how self moderation works on a site too.

Oh, I saw you had a look at my profile.  :zoinks:

I'm Hyke, we have never met, unless you have been part of AFF in the days I was there. But, I think you got diagnosed at a time I wasn't active there anymore.

I was diagnosed at 42, after a massive breakdown I could not get myself recovering from. Found out about autism, and thought I might be slightly fitting the spectrum, sought for a formal DX, and came out as on the spectrum without a doubt.

What was it that got you diagnosed?

Yes. No implication made there. Just the internet may be closer to real life than a old fiction.

The entire moderation staff at Wrong Planet is less than 4 weeks into the job, and learning as we go.

Hopefully you find a hell of a lot more professionalism than previous staffs.

Thought police?

Yes, that's what Alex and previous mods have been.

Think what you will, but not every thought that crosses your mind must be expressed.

And who determines what thoughts "must" be expressed?? you do??

You mean like the way that Quatermass, Sinsboldly and Mr.Mark bullied people when they were mods??

Quote
Most of you have accounts over there.

More like multiple sock-puppets from being capriciously banned so many times.

Quote
Do you really see us doing anything other than this?

Previous moderation staffs were nasty pieces of work. They kept order and control of the site by bullying the members. Those who couldn't tollerate it left, those that remained behind were the cowards who didn't know how to stand up to bullies.

The long history of WP moderation has been largely petty and personal, especially Alex Plank.

I asked about the actions of the current moderation staff and you answered by talking about the old staff.

Let's look at your "questions":

Who decides what thoughts must be expressed?  The member does - but their actions take place in a moderated environment and they must accept the consequences of their words.  The rules are simple and far less ambiguous than previously.  I believe most people want to follow the rules and participate on a level playing field.  Those who don't want that don't really want to be there anyway, they just want to cause trouble.

Like the other mods?  No.

If you have no interest in stifling debate, then why are you locking so many threads?

It seems to me that every time a debate becomes interesting over there, you lock it saying that the debate has run its course.

Are there some personal attacks that have been deleted from these locked threads?

If you wonder how active I am going to be, the answer would probably be "not very".  Moderating WP takes up most of my online time.  I am curious to get to know some of you and something about this site, but doubt I have a lot to contribute that is different from what I contribute at WP.

I was banned at WP in 2006 for comparing the place to a daytime soap (that was when we found out that Alex was reading other people's PMs) so I won't be reading you there. If you want to know us and us to know you, post here. As you know, what you say is moderated at WP. You can't tell anyone to fuck off or say that Alex is a vindictive little cunt there because someone will warn you and then ban you.

Nothing has been deleted from a locked thread by anyone on the current staff.  Someone else who is no longer on the staff went on a deletion spree and none of us can even keep track of what happened there.

The threads I locked were not good debates, except the one on creating a straights-only forum which I locked down and reopened again after moving to PPR.

Oh, yes, I forgot about that good point.  Midlifeaspie, since you are still relatively new on WP, know that Alex can read your PMs anytime he wants and if you express the opinion in a PM that WP is going to hell in a handbasket, then he will kick you out.  Be very careful with what you say in PMs on WP.

I agree with Soph that the current mods seem to be doing a better job than many of the previous mods so far, at least since 2006.  Some of the mods and admins from back then were very good and there have been a few good ones since, IMO.

You can, here.

It's true! I'm constantly calling people vindictive little cunts here, they tell me to fuck off, and everybody's happy!   :santa:

I asked about the actions of the current moderation staff and you answered by talking about the old staff.

Well, since the history of unprofessional moderation goes back so far, and was sanctioned by Alex himself, the onus is on the current moderation staff to prove that they will be different. Simply saying that things are different isn't good enough, you all will have to go out and prove it.

Quote
Let's look at your "questions":

Who decides what thoughts must be expressed?  The member does - but their actions take place in a moderated environment and they must accept the consequences of their words.

AFAIK, expressing ideas isn't SUPPOSED to be against the TOS, but I could be wrong about that since so many people have been banned for expressing opinions that Alex didn't personally like.

Quote
The rules are simple and far less ambiguous than previously.

If there's a new TOS, I'm going to have to read it. Did they remove the portions that were illegal?? (claiming that members posts were property of WP and couldn't be re-posted elsewhere whithout permission of Alex)

Quote
I believe most people want to follow the rules and participate on a level playing field.

The problem with WP is that it hasn't been a level playing field. Constructive criticism as been routinely deleted, those with dissenting voices are silenced. Claiming that you are creating a level playing field has to be something more that mere lip service. If I see evidence that there is a level playing field there, I might return.

Since you brought up the subject of a "level playing field", there's no place with with a more level field than right here at I2.  8)

Quote
Those who don't want that don't really want to be there anyway, they just want to cause trouble.

Wouldn't part of being a support site be allowing people to learn how to handle bullies??

TCO tried to bully me on WP and I gave him an arse whipping without the help of the mods. He tried to do the same thing here and I gave him a second arse whipping.

Quote
Like the other mods?  No.

I'm a skeptic. You're going to have to prove that.

If you have no interest in stifling debate, then why are you locking so many threads?

It seems to me that every time a debate becomes interesting over there, you lock it saying that the debate has run its course.

Are there some personal attacks that have been deleted from these locked threads?

Nothing has been deleted from a locked thread by anyone on the current staff.  Someone else who is no longer on the staff went on a deletion spree and none of us can even keep track of what happened there.

The threads I locked were not good debates, except the one on creating a straights-only forum which I locked down and reopened again after moving to PPR.

I agree that all those deletions by the former mod made it very difficult to follow what actually happened in some of the threads.  I think the former mod is probably a good person who meant well, but he went way overboard with the edit and delete buttons.

I disagree about the others threads that were locked not being good debates too.

If there were no personal attacks in these threads, I think that if threads are locked because they are topics where people strongly disagree with one another, then the debates don't really run their course and the issues are not resolved.

I have a question for you, midlifeaspie. Not considering any circumstances in which a member might present an actual danger to WP or its other members, would you ever retaliate against someone on WP for something that that member posted here?

Moderators have several tools at their disposal.  We can edit anything you say, lock or move a thread and ban a member - I assume those actions are what you mean by "retaliate".  There are a written set of rules explaining how one must behave on WP in order to continue contributing to the community.  If someone breaks those rules it is a moderators responsibility to use the tools at our disposal to remedy the situation.

There are no rules that state how one must behave outside of WP.  Personally, I don't give a shit and don't believe anyone has a right to try and control one's behavior outside of the scope of their responsibilities.  Will I develop opinions of members who post on WP based upon what I read on both sites?  Of course, can't be avoided.  But I try really hard not to allow personal opinions to play a role in my actions as a moderator.  I write and enforce contracts for a living.  I am one of those "black and white" Aspies.

If I was coming over here to read up on your laughs and then go ban everyone involved I certainly would have done so already.  I won't lie and pretend that it doesn't make my job a little easier knowing what was actually going on from both sides of the web.  That being said, I am sure folks will now be cognizant of my presence and these types of conversations will take place in deeper and darker corners of the site where my vision doesn't reach :)

The bottom line is this, if you follow the rules my hands are tied.  I don't subscribe to the definition of trolling that includes joining a conversation for the purpose of engaging in healthy debate.

I guess it's inevitable that if a WP mod joins here, some of the discussion will be about what happened and happens at WP. Feel free to post in other threads and about other subjects, though. You are not solely responsible for what WP is.

Yup, I agree with just about everything you said.  All I can say is "stay tuned".

Just to make it clear, I am not here on an outreach mission with the intention of convincing everyone to rejoin the ranks.  I am merely curious as to why so many seem so disaffected so I can do my best to prevent further disaffection going forward.

Do you think it is right to ban someone for comments they made on another site, such as here, and stop them from posting on WP?

That being said, I am sure folks will now be cognizant of my presence and these types of conversations will take place in deeper and darker corners of the site where my vision doesn't reach :)

Trust me, your presence here is not going to stop our conversations. Personally, if you start getting too caught up in who you 'think' you are over there and the impact your presence has here, then you really have inflated the 'reality' of moderating on a site.

What about in the case where a member here makes a post hinting that they were breaking WP rules by say, for example, having a sockpuppet account (and divulging it's username)? Would you be required to ban them from WP then?

I already answered your first comment, and thank you for the insight and wisdom contained in your second.  :2thumbsup:

No actually, you didn't answer the first question. Even though you said YOU wouldn't do it, your comment didn't convey with me that you did not disagree with someone banning someone for making comments on another site.

So I ask again.

Even though you personally haven't done it, do you think it is OK to do?

No, I don't

What about in the case where a member here makes a post hinting that they were breaking WP rules by say, for example, having a sockpuppet account (and divulging it's username)? Would you be required to ban them from WP then?

Haven't you done that 3 or 4 times in the past week?  Have I banned you yet? ;)

No actually. I've only had one account during the entirety of the few years I've been there now.

Are you blue_bean?

Uh huh

Who are you btw? Khan or Joeschmukapop?

Neither. If I created an account there I think I would be banned quickly for violating some wrongplanet TOS. I just wouldn't be able to NOT violate them.

:P

I mean FFS, what *just* because MLA is on another AS forum, that is somehow oooooohhhhh evvvvvillllll.

It's a bit stalkerish actually. I wonder if Lee man checks out MLA's other online forums or activities?

Maybe Lee man is gay and secretly wants to do the chocolate soldier dance with MLA?

Just shows you the kind of person that had the mod power....sounds like Lee would have been potentially a stalker mod if someone pissed him off based on his behaviours since the de modding.

I think that Alex said it in reference to Intensity on WP almost five years ago.  Maybe you would find it if you searched Alex's posts for the phrase "that site sucks" if he hasn't already deleted it but I don't know how to search through just Alex's posts on WP.  I couldn't find it when I Google searched WP for the phrase.  Here's a link to all of Alex's WP posts, it it helps:

I was nice to MLA when he arrived.  I am nice to all noobs.  Make an extra effort if they are from WP,  particularly mods due to all the whining they
have endured.

I believe Im the modfag on my title(somehow I changed it yesterday) and it was brought to my attention that it was your title and was going to change it but if you feel ok I´ll keep it(not sure how to change it again).

I understand that what I got was just the usual treatment and was warned by Rod about it before joining(one of the few things he didnt lie to me).

Anyways glad to see that this is just normal treatment and hope that we can all just get along(kumbaya sessions will be made available for those that may have an issue with me and I find that song to be tedious so hopefully we can skip through that).

I hope this thread has not resurfaced to attack your kid, MLA.   I think he is great and should be left out of things.

Besides you supply enough material on your own to warrant an attack :hahaha:

Seriously i am glad he is doing well.  The urchin was four when he started talking.  Well he did say "again" when he was three but that was all we got out of him for a year.  He has not shut up since.  He has the most advanced language now, way above his classmates.  However,  he is immature and way behind in other areas.  He is also on the verge of exclusion.  He is a gobshite!

I dunno if it is true, but i heard Einstein didn't talk until he was seven.

Projecting again. My point is you pick on people you deem "retards". Do you not see the irony that your special needs son is going to get the very same treatment you dish out? You seem to enjoy picking on easy targets. You are 36 going on 12. So much for your oath of civility, manchild.

G'day Callaway, where you been?

Hi Sir Les.  I have been having knee problems and decided to do everything possible to make the muscles supporting it strong enough that it would stop hurting so I have been spending a lot of time in the gym lately.  It didn't work out quite the way I hoped, but I'm much stronger now.

Just to be clear. You do not see that as ironic? The very thing you do to people who are slightly lower functioning than you will be inflicted on your son by other assholes just like you?

Do you think that's funny or something? Help me understand, here.

Speech delay does not equal "lower functioning".  He is almost completely caught up and has zero evidence of any ASD.  He has been evaluated by three separate specialists.  By the time he is in kindergarten he should be indistinguishable from his peers, except that he will have had three extra years of pre-K education.  As he can already count to 100, recite his alphabet, and spell certain words he is actually way ahead of most kids his age who aren't receiving special ed.

Then there is this:

http://investinginkids.net/2011/08/22/why-earnings-benefits-of-pre-k-can-be-so-large-for-the-middle-class/ (http://investinginkids.net/2011/08/22/why-earnings-benefits-of-pre-k-can-be-so-large-for-the-middle-class/)

http://aspe.hhs.gov/hsp/state-funded-pre-k/report.htm (http://aspe.hhs.gov/hsp/state-funded-pre-k/report.htm)

My child's speech delay resulted in 3 years of pre-k education fully paid for by the state, at a savings to me of nearly $30,000, which will continue to pay off for him for life.

But let's say he does end up "lower functioning" ... he won't be spending his time whining about it online.  He already has great self esteem and that will only get better through active parenting.

Well I didn't ask for a bunch of personal information, but that's pretty cool. I asked you if you cared that your kid would be picked on, like you love to do so much to others?

That's really nice that the boy is such a trooper and doesn't seem to be having any problems now, but he's young. I don't mean to say that he will develop problems at a later date, but this is certainly possible. You probably know this, but the masses do not like people who think differently than them. Deviations, no matter how impressive they may be in their own right, are normally frowned upon. By idiots. Idiots like you.

My child's speech delay resulted in 3 years of pre-k education fully paid for by the state, at a savings to me of nearly $30,000, which will continue to pay off for him for life.

But let's say he does end up "lower functioning" ... he won't be spending his time whining about it online.  He already has great self esteem and that will only get better through active parenting.

Hey...i know when you have seen one stick you have seen em all but this stick was a speshul stick and it was like a friend.

Anyway your little fella is gorgeous!

It's a Top Secret special stick that fires multiple splinters at the same time.  Quite ingenious.

I haven't read that, but my house is littered with sticks and rocks that he keeps bringing in.  Everything is special and unique at that age.  I wish I still had that.

[HD] Watch The Gruffalo's Child (2012) Full MOVIE Online For "FREE" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbjLwR971Zw#ws)

I think i loved the Gruffalo's child more than the urchin.  In fact i recall being highly persuasive about which dvd to watch  (but mummy i want to see fireman sam yikes it looks like all the sam ones are missing son, we'll watch Gruffalo's child instead)

When i was little i used to pick 'bits' up off the carpet.  Tiny stones off shoes, little bits of fluff and if i found a feather from one of the cushions i was rich!  I used to keep my collections in ornamental pots that my mum had on the fireplace.  If i went to a pot and found it had been cleaned out i would bring the house down crying and sobbing "but what if i never ever see it again ever"

These things are important to a kid.   :zoinks:

Thanks!

So what were the results of your search  :orly:

Negative.

You all seem very interested in my every move here.  If you aren't comfortable with my being here just say so, and I will respectfully withdraw.  I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.

...except Lestat!

Seriously, the way that MLA has been  bullying Lestat in recent years is beyond the pale, even for I2 . I'd have called him out  over that , if only he didn't keep squirming away.

Well. If you happen by again, MLA, I'd be curious to hear how you got from there to here.

(Thanks for the interesting necro-bump, Scrap.  Heck,  you won't hear me saying that very often! )

Walkie hasn't posted in over a year. Judging from that quote box, the two of you seem to be about five or six years apart. You guys must live in different time zones or something and it's never going to happen.  :zoinks:
