If you have SAD
« on: December 02, 2007, 08:03:08 PM »
I followed advice someone posted here and got some fluorescent bulbs to replace my incandescent ones. I found a pack of 4 25 watt bulbs for 10 bucks. I tried them, and my room is so bright it's amazing. I feel better already just standing inside it. Here's a picture taken without flash that almost shows how bright it is:

Not really, the scented lavender ones are quite calming.
I couldnt cope with them bright lamps, i would have to use sunglasses. I live in near darkness.

I hate it when it is hot all the time, not that it is around here.
There was a hot summer a few years back. My head was a mess; i dont if it was all the women walking around skantily clad or just the heat.
My god, the heat.

i wish we had nice beaches in england, i would go there in the winter if there was. i hate the heat. especially when it's really humid. it makes me feel ill and i can't do anything. just want to find somewhere cool and lie down.

The woods are good too.  If there is any near by near me I think it's still deer season so the woods aren't a good place.  I have the advantage of being a guy and usually walking with a very large dog so nobody bothers me even at one or two in the morning

Vitamin d was mentioned in my life extension foundation magazine as a treatement for seasonal affective disorder.  Take 1000iu/day minimum, because the RDI is pathetically low.  Milk has bad form in it, ergocalciferol, I think, vitamin d2.  That is the plant form, which must be avitated by the liver into vitamin d3.  Use vitamin d3 for treatment.  I like fluorescent colors.

Your room is less crowded than mine, perhaps if it were bigger, it would not look so messy.  I try to ignore it and make do.

Or you could go for long walks on sunny days to get it
