Somebody seems to have become the "sensitive " type :santa:

The intent here is not to hurt/harm anyone.

The intent perhaps was not.

In reality words, no matter how offensive they are, don't have any bloody meaning. They either are scribbles on paper, pixels on a screen or merely vibrations of air pressure (sound). It is purely semiotics that gives these meaning, and whether a word is "offensive" or not is purely subjective to the person who hears it. If anything, one who isn't an overly sensitive twat about it won't give a shit. Anyone who is overly sensitive, time to develop some thick skin.

Why should one let such meaningless words affect them at all? Because there is far more important things to do in life than to cry like a bitch because some person called you a towelhead, nigger, tranny fanny, faggot etc, even in an insulting manner. No matter how much you preach on that ivory tower of yours, you will always encounter people who will take the piss and you will never change them.

And besides the point, how does such jokes that aren't even directed at you give you any fucking authority to say they're offensive to so and so people? Let them decide that, not you.

Before you mention wanting some "tolerance", think to yourself this: Intolerance to intolerance is as tolerant as intolerance. :zoinks:

Tolerance is an ugly word.

I tolerate you. Can't get much more condescending than that can it.

I have to tolerate dogshit in the street too.
I can do upside down chocolate moo things!

Awww, this is more cute than funny, but I'm sure the guy who did it was highly embarrassed.

Guy I used to work with, well, we are trying to organise a couple of us to get together...

So...I get a text from him today in another language...

Quickly followed by a text that said oops sorry sent to wrong person.

He'd sent the text to me instead of his wife....didn't bother to translate it until tonight on the computer....Translated, from Chinese it said 'I love you'
Oopsy. But cute.
