Nah, I think that's an American thing- we did toast marshmallows one night though- just didn't stick them with chocolate between two biscuits.

to me no. 
well, let me ammend  that.  i grew up camping in tents or under the stars, my wife is a different matter.  so i guess now i think that camping can be done at a 5 star hotel.
not my choice.

No- we didn't go fishing.  We spent a lot of time on the beach; went swimming a few times and the kids enjoyed the kid's club every morning.  On our last day we also took the kids for a ride on a 'pirate' boat and they loved it.  Might have to try fishing with them next time, but I'm not sure they can sit still long enough to really enjoy it yet.
