What have you bought lately?

Lots today including a nice one inch belt sander, loads of clamps, a small vise, a funky industrial light,  and a Dutch door to name just some of the stuff

A new sectional, on sale with no tax and free delivery. I love a good deal.

Had to look that up. Now I wonder what it was even more. A sofa? A garage door? Something else?

Details woman, on colour structure, shape and purpose and such.

I think she means lounge suite, one that can be changed around to suit the room.

It's an L shaped sofa that seats 6. Some pieces in it are reclining chairs. Does that make more sense?

Sounds just about right for one or at most two. Sofas make comfortable sleeping areas. I can't remember the last time I slept in an actual bed. Springs in my mattress come out in the wrong places just where they happen to be perfectly positioned to stick you in the back or/and front no matter which way it gets turned.

Wish my sofa was just a few inches longer. That way I'd not have to stick my feet up at a weird ass angle to sleep.

Bought a fire table at the liquidation place for $1400. It's similar to this one except the top and sides on mine are solid with pattern work on the top but not the notch work like this one has. Saw the exact same table at a regular store later in the day and it was $4k more than what I paid. I wasn't going to replace my patio set until next year except this place was pushing to close their summer stock because they have to move to another warehouse location next month so got some seriously good deals.

There's a propane tank underneath and people put fire glass rocks in it.

I see, so suitable for marshmallows and the like. The solid sides are probably the better option, to hide the tank.

Exactly. Mine is all metal so heavy to move around which is perfect having big dogs around. Most that I have seen are close to the ground which isn't safe (IMO) when you have pets and kids around. This is tall which is perfect. Plus there's enough space around it to put drinks and food. The top has a solid cover so when the fire isn't being used, the table is still fully functional.

you mean if the propane tank overheats somehow? I'd not be so sure about that. Gas  tanks have a nasty habit of turning into long, thin razor-edged flying blades when they overheat. Especially, it seems if the initiation of propagation is uni-directional. Ever seen a deodorant can embedded in a tree?  gas tanks seem to flatten out into a flying ribbon when they blow. At least thin ones do. Never got so close to one about to make a mess as to get within range so never really found out that. But you'd be surprised how far you can launch a propane tank into the air given the right...setting. Especially if its one of those thin blowtorch bottle type things, that ain't something I'd want to be near when it went off.

No, I mean not safe in that if it's low to the ground there's a higher chance of my dogs getting too close. They're big and clumsy.

That's an awesome table. I want one.
