yes, Im very careful about my diabetes usually

that was a morning reading, it *should* be low. I didn't eat anything for like 10 hours.

That just happens to me, they say Im "brittle"

it's not really like the diabetes that old people get, Type 1 means my pancreas doesnt work at all and I cant produce my own insulin   


Scares the hell outta  me sometimes though, getting high readings like that FOR NO REASON .... makes me wonder what it'll be like when im 60

My uncle could get very different readings within minutes. He tried measuring blood from different fingers in a row. All the data differed, and huge differences too.

Don't know, do know my uncle lived because of a doctor able to attend to him, even when he reacted different than all other patients. The doctor reacted on guts. Left an important meeting on an urge, to visit my then 10 year old uncle, and was just in time to save his life.

I wonder if maybe she might feel unappreciated for looking after the little minions quite often by herself when you go away on your frequent business trips?  I know I sometimes get a little jealous that my husband gets to go and see so many interesting places while I stay home and hold down the fort.  I'm glad that I have been able to see it a little through your eyes and by extension through his a little, but maybe you need to try to see it a little through her eyes, too.

Maybe she thinks you looking after them for a few days while she takes a few days to go to NYC with her mom and sister is the least you can do?  I absolutely agree that it would be nice if she were more appreciative of your efforts, but maybe she could be a little jealous of you too.

He is a diabetes researcher working on a permanent fix that will help your body produce insulin again--if the medicine works, you and many others will quite possibly be rid of the shots. I think they are some years from clinical trials but so far the work is very promising.
