Okay, which one of you guys is going to volunteer to have a vasectomy by a surgeon with no experience who's working the shift your surgery is scheduled for?

That's the thing. EVERYONE will be experienced!  :green: I mean this wouldn't happen in a single day. Everything would need to be changed, including how our children are educated. It may grow more slowly, but the growth will be steady. And there will be no more of this shit.

Funny I never pictured you as the type to want to run off and live in a commune.  On a very small scale you may get it to work for awhile but it will not last and it can;t be scaled up.

Why do we need to scale things up?

You can't do and or make some things on such a small scale where it would work

What kinds of things? Nuclear bombs?

Most things dealing with technology for one, which would include nuclear bombs but also almost all electronics.  Production of many metals such as aluminum would also be out of the question. Many manufactured goods would also be beyond reach. If you wanted to say do this but sticking with mostly 18 century tech  it would be a little easier but they did mention science and technology on the site

Science and technology wouldn't have to be done away with, and this is just a skeleton of the society man. A rough draft manifesto. I personally think it shows great promise.

Most cults require their membership to renounce money; that's how cult leaders get so rich.

That is not how it works if you have highly skilled jobs. Apprentices turning out from our 5 years of course work plus minimum 8000 hours hands on still have much to learn. The NFPA 70 National Electric Code exists to prevent fire and electric hazards from destroying property and killing people.

Likewise other aspects of building codes are to prevent collapse of entire blocks like happened in San Francisco during the 1906 quake, disastrous fires like the 1942 Cocoanut Grove Fire and The Station fire of 2003.

Fire Inspectors, city inspectors and The Authority Having Jurisdiction (this has a very specific meaning Rage) are not jobs for a part timer winging it.

The unit operators, firemen, maintenance personal and safety people in a petrol refinery should not be enthusiastic amateurs. If you had ever been exposed to a refinery fire, explosion or poison gas release (look up H2S characteristics and toxicity) you would know exactly why the training is required.

I think the main thing most are missing is the core of this design. Everything belongs to the people, and not companies, banks, or politicians. Whats wrong with that?

Me either. I mean theres some things Michael says that I don't agree with either, but i'm not going to shoot down his design over a few of those. Not everyone has to follow his words as if it were some sort of religious dogma. I just think we should all be taking our world back from the 1% on the basis of sustainability, our own dignity, and our future.

The way things are now is bad any way you look at it.

See The Communist Manifesto, Das Kapital, Animal Farm and 70 + years of communist mismanagement in Eastern Europe for your answer. Everything nominally belonged to everyone in the Eastern Bloc countries. Tellinger has just polished an old turd, he presents nothing new. Apologists for communism like to play the No True Communist fallacy to explain away all the fuck ups like mass murdering dictators, economies in perpetual strife etc.

You may also want to look up the history of Josiah Warren and the New Times colony and other Anarcho syndicalist communes for context. Basically this type of stuff only works for a limited time as long as everyone plays nice. Without a strong man arising to enforce cooperation - which negates the alleged freedom - it falls apart.

Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff. Frank Zappa.

Me too. Whats so great about enslavement to thieves?
So you are a slave?
Were you born into slavery?
Or were you captured and subjugated?
Do you have to ask permission to post on the internet?
Are you not allowed to own property?
Are you not paid wages for work you perform?
Do you get beat by massa for fucking up?
In what ways do you equate your situation with the slaves of the antebellum South Rage? Please be specific.

Calling yourself a slave is hyperbole unless there is a whole lot that I don't know about your situation. Slavery is a very specific condition and definitions do matter.

Hush! There's no such thing as money and no one wants to think about the property and income taxes.  >:(
