Last year we were crying for rain, this year we are pleading with it to STOP.  Dear rain gods, please, if it's not tooo much trouble, skip us for a couple of weeks and bring todays incessant downpour north to our neighbors in Canada, who certainly be more than happy to have Mother Natures bounty to help put out it's fires.  PLEASE!!!!!!

No one seems to remember July 1 these days. The day the three main colonies in Canada unified and became a little more independent as one Dominion with a slight nod from the Crown. A hundred and some more years for Independence, but who's counting?

I'm sure I'll be corrected by our resident Canadian members, but I am anxious to learn.

I've read about the fires. I've seen pictures and videos, and I've seen some of the effects on neighbouring countries. I've even heard that the smoke is finding its way around the globe now.

But this somehow made it obvious.

I had IBS issues all day. Really bad cramps.

Plus my favourite supervisor at the Salvos had her last day at work today. She was the only person that I felt comfortable hugging. She's going to be a manager at another store, so while I'm happy for her, I'm also very sad to see her go.
