I found out that most of his ridiculous behavior stems from his youth and the fact that he still doesn't know how to get his spazzy ass under control. I can't really be mad at him for that because I was there once too, just in a different way.

There's not much I do to change how I look really, except trying not to be too masculine around family.

I thought that part of your OCD was getting better but not if you pee twice a day only. Not really good for your kidneys, bladder or hydration. You know that pee is sterile? When I go to public toilets I put paper all over the seat so I don't touch it. I have used those sterile wipes before as well.
I guess I am concerned for you.

My OCD is just the same if not worse actually, but I definitely deal with it better. I think that's where my meds help - they've helped me get over the depression, overcome a lot of social anxiety, and not get so messed up about my OCD things. I go to the toilet twice a day unless I've been up since really early for some reason, or been drinking loads. Then I sometimes go three times. I only went once a day a few times recently becuase I just didn't need to pee.
I'm not actually that bothered by urine itself. No more than most people would be I mean (as in I wouldn't want someone pissing on my bed or something). It's thw whole going in the bathroom thing. Toilets etc. Even if I go in there without touching anything, I'd still have to get a shower because of the air in the room

I actually understand... I'm not a big fan of toilets... I am comfortable with my own and that's it. In our house we have two toilets so me and renaeden have our own toilet each. I don't even like using her toilet it makes me uncomfortable. It's much much worse with public toilets....eek

What inspired your fascination with the Eastern Front in WW2?

I'm not sure really. I've been obsessed with history since I was at least 7, probably earlier. WW2 is just what I've got into as I've got older and what I've chosen to focus on for my degree. I dunno why I find the nazi-soviet stuff so much more interesting than the Bristish or American etc. It's just something I like more, I like the German and Russian languages too. I guessed that was at least a big part of it.
Anyway, a suggestion, as I had something like excema (or at least a perfect storm of dry skin, allergies, and stress that caused me hella misery) awhile back, and this almost totally solved the problem. Dunno how universal brands are/if they have the same stuff available near you, but body washes with oil infused in them are a friggin godsend as far as I'm concerned. Some examples (ones I use):

I don't like being a prima donna about girly stuff like soaps, but it makes so much of a difference it's actually worth being picky. With these, the more you shower, the less dry your skin is, if you're using them each time. There are some body washes that have lotion in them that sorta work the same way, but I couldn't cope with the filmy feeling they left on my skin, so I'd be less likely to reccommend them. I know there are some "guy" body washes that supposedly moisturize pretty well; I haven't seen any that are actually advertised as having oil in them, but then again I don't shop much in that section for this, lol. The Johnson and Johnson product and the Dove product I linked don't smell very girly IMO.

There's the Natusan (Johnson and Johnson) after bath baby oil that keeps 10% more moisture. You apply it on the still wet skin. And it is not perfumed. Works very well. Will get myself a bottle soon, because winter will bring dry and itchy skin.

turns out my scan is not for another 6-8 weeks... 6-8 weleks! IO just had to see the neurologist today. I have an MRI scan in 6-8 weeks then ECG 4 weeks after that. He referred me to an epilepsy clinic though and said I can start some treatment for it after the scan
Apparently the clomipromine (OCD meds I was on but have since stopped) can "lower the threshold" for seizures, so if you are epileptic you are more likely to have them while on those meds, but they don't actually cause epilepsy itself. Something like that.
How did your exam go btw?

I hope he reassured you that you may never have another seizure in your life. Lots of people have one or two seizures and then never have another one. Weird how the brain works (or doesn't).
I have had an MRI and an EEG before. EEGs mess your hair up because they put this gel stuff on your scalp to stick the electrodes on. You will probably want a shower straight afterwards, I remember I did. They get you to look at flashing lights and stuff too.
6-8 weeks is a long time to wait.
My exam went ok, it seemed really long, two and a half hours. I had no annoying people sit near me this time. There was multiple choice (which for me turned into multiple guess) and two essays I had to write. I finished the essays which was good.

Well, I found the answer on Wiki, it's 1/4 of the tanks Germany started Barbarossa with were Czech. 1/2 of the German tanks in France were Czech made.
It just goes to show, that without the bloodless invasion of Czechoslovakia, WWII would've been impossible for Germany.

William Green's book is a good one to get. It's a massive book that even has almost all of their late-war experiments, along with pre-war prototypes. One look at the Gotha Go-229 jet-powered flying wing and you'll see why it was a good thing that Germany was beaten when it was.

How's your OCD these days?

It's still there, but compared to how it was in June it's virtually gone!
It's such a relief when I wake up in the night needing the toilet, to be able to just get up, go pee, wash my hands quickly, dry them on whatever's there and then go back to bed. (for example)
I mean the thoughts and feelings are still there sometimes, and I notice myself still doing little things like avoiding touchign something. but most of the time I realise I'm doing that and make a conscious effort to then touch whatever it is (like the door handle or something), so I don't start falling back into it. I think in a way the little things are hardest to get rid of, coz you're so used to doing them that you end up doing it subconsciously. Like my holding my breath around toilets was one of the most difficult ones to combat. It was still struggling with that when I left the hospital, but gradually I managed to overcome that too. And now it's becoming more natural to do things in a "normal" way. I don't feel so much like I'm making myself do things in an anti-ocd way, rather I'm just doing things how I "should" do them.
I don't wanna be complacent or anyting - I'm not totally cured. But it's going well.
