Honestly, I don't know.  I feel torn.  It is just a body after all, who cares?  Why not look great?  I just can't shake the nagging guilt that I'd feel somehow less authentic.  I don't know.  I'm sure I'm over-thinking it.

Alright, so as not to be a thread-killer, I'll assume that I've gotten over my silly guilt and go with: Nose, boobs, tummy tuck. But not enormous boobs, I don't want a chronic backache.  Only slightly enormous.   :zoinks:

Oh, height implants!  They don't do it in the U.S., but I think they do it is Russia and China.  They break the bones in your arms and legs, stretch them apart with braces, and the bone heals up longer.

Can I sleep through the healing process?  It sounds incredibly painful.

I can distinctly remember watching a talk show, Phil Donahue, back in the 1970's or 1980's.

He did a show where the Elizardi (?) procedure was done to youngsters to lengthen their arms.  Donahue asked a boy what was the first thing he was going to do when he the procedure was finished.  "Put my hands in my pockets."  Talk about making me appreciate life.  I recall the episode at least 2 or 3 times a year to refuel my gratitude.

It's done a lot in Japan. Some universities there have height requirements for students to be allowed in.  :facepalm2:

But, it is done now and then in the Netherlands too. Met a boy 25 years ago, who was really tiny, and he got the treatment. Wasn't too painful, apparently, and he was allowed to turn the elongating screws himself daily. It takes lots and lots of time though, in hospital. And, for balanced effect it has to be done in both the lower and upper leg.

Have not heard of this treatment in arms yet, but, it would be unlikely if that wasn't done by now.

Ah, I just see QV had something on arm elongations.

I'd probably have a reduction.

Take them from a size C to an A or a zero or something.

I can't stand bras, my drawer testifies to that...I only own 2...and will only wear the blasted things when I go out and a cami is not an option...I'm getting to the age where in a few more years no one will be checking out the scenery much anyways...they just annoy me more than anything.

It would be a shame to see you without them

tube top under your cami would be better

I've often thought about plastic surgery for when I get old. I go through phases of thinking I should grow old with grace and dignity, and then I go through phases of thinking that I should declare war on aging

I really don't think I would ever go for it though. I would hate to have it done and end up looking like some of the women who look like their skin's so tight, they can't smile

Hi Flutterbies  :santa:

You have a long long way to go before having to worry about ageing.  I would not bother with all the face lift stuff, the thought of it is quite horrible.  Just keep out of too much sun.  Thankfully,  it is not hard to do that in the UK.

You look youing already.  All you need to do is keep out of the sun, drink lots of water and acid peels help. I use a lotion called Amlactin and it makes my skin soft and plump and gently exfoliates. It is expensive, but it works. I also put on gflycerin after showering when wet before applying the lotion. Age prevention is best. Trying to reverse existing damage has very mixed results.

The photo in my avatar was probably taken when I was around 17

I wasnt meaning that I would get plastic surgery done anytime soon. Just, many years down the line, I might consider it, but I doubt it. At the moment, exercise is my big thing. I try to walk 5-10 miles a day, and work out for an hour a day. I've even pretty much given up alcohol :zombiefuck: and stick mostly to water.

Im the total opposite. I dont usually wear make-up, or do my hair. If I'm going for a night out, I just sit there passively and let my friend dress me up. I hate it, but she loves it  She loves cutting and dying hair.

Having to get myself all dressed up smart, by myself, is my idea of a nightmare :-[

I'd have my teeth redone, and lower canines replaced with long metal fangs. Vampire style has been done too much...I think, more 'orc' would look neat.

And I'd have the eye fixed that has taken so much punishment over the years. Always seems to be my right eye that got it, when trouble was brewing. My missspent youth involved too many things like knocking conkers out of trees with home-built grenade launchers (well.....it was more efficient than throwing sticks..launching a half pound of magnesium/chlorate or permanganate flash in a metal can, using black powder or just about any old organics suitable for nitration...only one time the launching charge was a bit TOO big, and blew the fucking back off the thing, right in my face while I was sighting it)

GHB synth that overheated in my teens, and flash boiled solvent/caustic and GBL up in my face, that very goddamn picosecond i chose to adjust my mask and scratch the end of my nose.

Accidental reflection of a laser, thankfully not too powerful, and not tuned to a horrendously damaging wavelength.

And god only knows what else I've forgotten about. My right eye has shite vision from anything more than a few inches away its a blur when trying to read. Couldn't read the opticians chart, other than 'its stuck on the wall over there..I think....'
Laser surgery would be great.

Before I had cataract surgeries with lens implants, it was, "What wall?"  Literally.  I was approaching legal blindness with glasses.  Severe nearsightedness/astigmatism predisposes people to cataracts.  I had my first surgery at 49 year, 11 months and 3 weeks (retired at the same time) and the next one a month later.

The vision problem wouldn't be cosmetic surgery for vanity. Have you been told laser surgery will fix it?

As a person ages, their lenses become yellower and cloudier, making it harder to see. In that case I think a transplant is the only option.

I haven't asked. I couldn't afford it anyway.

But my vision is pretty much fucked in that eye. I can read from perhaps a foot away, at most, with really large print.

Oh..yeah and I remember..a powder burn too. That was NOT fucking fun. Ended up having my eye washed out with saline for about 6 hours in casualty. Can't remember how I explained that one to the medics:P

Its not an age problem, I just turned 27. More a case of accident after accident during miss-spent youth mounting up on each other. Arc-eye, gunpowder burns, chemical mishaps...murphys/sods law in action basically.

I have already had cosmetic surgery of a sort. Had my bottom jaw broken and moved forward so that my top and bottom teeth aligned.

What I really would like is a breast reduction from a size DD to a size B. Because I am small I just look out of proportion. Plus my back and shoulders ache sometimes because of it. And it is hard to find bras my size without going into one of those expensive specialty bra shops.

Maybe get some things tucked/tightened, maybe get lipo on my stomach.

Probably nothing, though.

I'm pretty thin already (realistically, I know I am- my own "omg I want to lose weight" because I'm generally 5-10lbs over my current "magic number" aside) and the idea of surgery skeeves me out.  Where would I recover, and who would take care of me post-surgery?  How much time would I miss from work?  What kind of example would it set for my female clients for me to potentially have visibly changed from cosmetic surgery when I'm only 27 and look basically fine just as I am?  And, frankly, what would surgery fix, anyway? I'd still be me, with the same old issues.  I'd just be slightly more capable of attracting the kind of shallow, skeezy guys that I generally actively avoid even interacting with in the first place.

What I really ought/need to do is get a good night's sleep more often.  I think if I did that, I'd be just about set.  Possibly also diagnose and address whatever other medical issues I have, if I have them (curren theories are vitamin deficiencies or an *additional* autoimmune disorder- hooray!), but I'll actually be doing that next month, which isn't so far away.

Wouldn't mind a professional teeth bleaching; probably could use one. Have only ever used over the counter stuff.

Yes. They've improved a lot over the years. Sometime during early twenties, bought my first ever over the counter teeth whitening product. Not sure what was in it, but the instructions and warnings made me decide not to use it because the directions basically said not to get any in my mouth.

That's really a good point. Have also heard that, but about people who do it too often. Once heard a dentist say they've seen people who've over bleached their teeth to the point where they were becoming translucent.

Now I have gained weight, my boobs are a 14F which is crazy. I couldn't hide them now even if I wanted to. So yes, a breast reduction would be great.

I wouldn't say no to a nose job either. Mine is shaped like my Nanna's nose, not my mum's which is perfect. It is hooked at the top. Glasses hide it though so it is not all bad.

I have a very slight hump-ish look, due to very mild kyphosis.  I think the vertebrae at the base
of my neck just angle inward a little more than they should, so that my trapezius muscles sit a little high
on my shoulders, like the hood of a cobra.  In profile I appear to be slouching because of the way my head
sits forward on my neck.  I'm not methodical enough to be a good lab assistant though.  :autism:

An extra 2 cupsizes would be nice.
Some cosmetic dentistry (or how about we just rip all the teeth out and replace with implants)
Liposuction on the stomach.

OT:

I have never changed anything about my body, except for maintaining a decent health/fitness. I would reccomend such to anyone considering having surgery to alter themselves.
You can change your body dramatically by just working it in the direction you want to change!

I have never even gotten a tat or had anything pierced. Cost is irrelevant. I have plenty of money.

Not saying I am "perfect,"  just thinking that one could as easily accept what gifts you have been born with and improve upon THOSE gifts instead of going out and having someone else cut you and draw on you.

I used to hate almost everything about the way I look, until I had an epiphany a couple of years ago and started taking care of my hair and wearing clothes that complement my figure instead of hide it. There are still a lot of things about me that are not quite "there" yet, but none of them are things I would need a plastic surgeon for.

I avoid shirtwaist dresses for one thing, those are basically men's shirts, only longer, used as dresses.

My daughter is built more like her maternal grandmother (short and sweet) than her mother or her paternal grandmother (my mom).
She is shortish (five feet, two inches tall at fifteen years of age, pretty much done growing tall) and (beautiful, but)  she will never grow any taller.

Today she is gone to a state concert competition for her choir. I will go over about an hour before she performs, but as I drug my aching ass home yesterday, after the worst day, longest day in over a month, I was informed by my wife who was prepping to leave for work. that I was in charge of going BRA SHOPPING because none of her bras fit anymore.

Fuck me, I AM TIRED AND JUST WANT TO VEG OUT ON THE COUCH!  Now I have to go shopping on a Friday evening!?!  My wife was gracious and had worked with our daughter for a while and determined the size and style of bra that we needed to find. Her "Uniform Dress"  for choir is strapless AND SHORT.

She has everything else set and she is ready to go on stage, except that all her bras are too small! So I wait until some of the rush hour traffic slows down and we head out.

Went to three stores looking for a suitable "strapless" bra for a fifteen year old girl in her size. They all had something similar but to find (probably one of the most popular sizes for this type of garment) the exact size was proving to be quite a treasure hunt.

So, we finally find her size (my fifteen tear old daughter is a thirty six  "D"), but they only have it in BLACK!!! (FFS)  and her costume/uniform is a light beige on top fading up from a nice dark sienna on the bottom. I warned her that it will not work.
(I was a portrait photographer for fourteen years, photographing many, MANY young women, most with really stupid mothers, and I know a bit about what colors do not disappear beneath other colors, most especially in stage lighting or strobe lighting situations)

Anyway after insisting that our "attendant" at a Kohl's store (our fourth stop, two hours into the search) go and check for back stock and waiting another twenty minutes, we finally came up with a workable solution - a beige, strapless bra in thirty six "D" but it cost me seventy eight dollars, FFS!!

To be handed such a task after such a long, hard day at work was like being forced to eat a fucking Bone Sandwich with Bird Shit Sauce, but to see my daughter's smile after it was all over, knowing that she looked like a "million bucks" in her outfit, made every step and every pain worth the trip!

I just smile, thinking back at all the thirty something women looking at me suspiciously invading the Bra Aisles of fancy shops, possibly assuming that I was some sort of pervo slime (I am sixty years old, quite grey, long beard and I have not cut my hair since last October -growing it a bit) dressing up a young, lovely teen in a fancy bra.

:)
