I think you miss understand, in Iran they stone you to death for being a rape victim, Also they are ligher on the rapists there in practise, because its nearly impossible to convict them.

As for Irans economy, they had riots there recently over petrol prices, because the government could not afford to subsidize  it any more.

They had riots in Belgium, in Spain and in many other countries with regards to the oil prices. There is nothing unusual about that.
