Why is it when I sit in an almost empty movie theater does the next group of people who walk in feel the need to sit close by, and does this happen everywhere to everyone or am I just special :autism:

You're not special. Sorry. I've noticed this at every theatre I've ever worked at, including the 700+ seat one.

I suspect it's why when you park your Jag by itself, far away from the idiots, there will always be one more to park right next to you.  :tard:

I get it whenever i use public transport.  Empty train - so why sit by me?

That's an easy one, your rather attractive  :eyebrows:

How did you end up with the moomin designation, again?  Until very recently I assumed it was some imaginary thing or insulting word Lit came up with or dragged onto the board from a different dialect.

It was originally an insult by Lit, yes, as I am Finnish by birth. It stuck.

So it was just because you're Finnish by birth?

Are Moomins the only Finnish thing of any import?

Damn, now I want to visit a sauna, and get the last bit of this bloody cold out of my system, and my mind relaxed.

Do you have a sauna at your home, Odeon?

Let's hope it's that because the fix is easy.

I think they call it 5:2.

The outcome is that I feel a lot healthier and sleep better. I have also lost weight--I am down two sizes and need a new belt.

The fast day is like a cleansing ritual. It actually feels good in itself. Sure, I sometimes do get hungry but it doesn't feel like a problem.

Are you still doing this?  Do you think I could do it?  :orly:

Parts and Odeon I agree whole heartedly with you.  However, a turned-on phone is a necessity for me when out because of PA and the PR's health issues.  In sensitive places it's on vibrate and between my breasts, so instead of a ring tone nearby people are treated to me screaming, jumping up and scrabbling in my bra.  But no ring tone.

I'm sure the onlookers appreciate the jiggle.  boobs1 boobs2 boobs1   :oooh:

These days, the worst are the ones with mobile phones. I don't understand why people can't stay off their bloody phones for two hours. Even those who turn off their phones during the film itself invariably light up their darlings when the end credits are rolling.

I turn mine off in the car and don't put it back on before I get back in it,  I miss the days of being unavailable

Me too. I miss the days when it was considered to be perfectly normal that if you want out, you wouldn't actually be available unless you used a pay phone.

But before cellphones, one would have to wait for hours near a landline waiting for a call from
a doctor or someone else one really needed to talk to.  I hated that!  Didn't you, or was it worth it?  :orly:

Pay phones are near impossible to find around here and when you do they generally do not work.

It's the same here. I think it's a shame. It was a more normal way of being, IMHO. This insane fascination with being connected all the time is just not healthy.

Next thing you know, they'll have websites where people can leave you messages
at any time of the day or night, and expect you to write back to them.  That will be really annoying.
