I've been watching Masterchef (UK/BBC). Show ended a couple of minutes (25/tbh/now) ago. In it.. were 5 contenders that had to, first/not aware of how it was made, taste a dish prepared by chef/presenter John Torode and figure out, via taste, what was in the dish.. ingredients-wise.
The palate-test it's called and with this evening's dish it was totally² difficult. Could 'go list' here but..
Secondly, without the contestants knowing how they did with the palate-test, they had to cook/prepare the 'same' dish themselves. They were given the products used but also quite a few totally not needed stuff to make this particular main course. Tricking the contenders a bit doing so there.
Well, all 5 of them went lost in the first test.. and off-guessed what was in the dish terribly.
The, second, reproducing the food (test) went awfully wrong for two of the contestants and the three, albeit also being off-ish too, managed to prepare a dish thus liked by hosts John T. and Gregg Wallace that they went on to the next round.
Blahiah, for most that haven't seen the show/I know but..
