Watched the latest Picard episode. Still pretty bad. Not sure what they were thinking when writing the show.
When I finally get to the book, that is currently near the bottom of my unread book pile, I'll give you a report on that.
It is going to be interesting to know if the storyline makes more sense in the book. Sometimes the tie-ins are based on an earlier script with nothing on the cutting room floor.
Yeah. my mind really enjoys picturing the details that a movie or tv series cuts out. I have seen some movies equal or even exceed the books. Shawshank Redemption is one. The Princess Bride is another..........that book sucked. Fortunately, that is a very rare thing. But, for the Princess Bride, I would say they captured lightning in a bottle with the casting, directing and the script. The Green Mile was also a better movie than the book. Great script, acting and directing.
I have 2 biographies to go thru before I reach it. One of them is about Marlon Brando and it is a ponderous tome.
