If I got rid of everything that didn't "spark joy"...I'd be on the side of the road with the cat and my coffee maker.

Yes. See what you mean about Photoshopping There are a few nice motors built for comfort on a long journey. A while ago the urchin's Dad presented me with a Volvo S60. Never really fancied a Volvo before but have to say what a nice car it was to drive. The urchin was a toddler at the time and have to say it felt very 'safe'.Looking wise - very nondescript really but OMG that car could 'go' when you put your foot down.I liked that car, very much.

Boring interior, though. I don't care much for Volvo's dashboard and centre console.Which engine was it?
2.4 T5. I didn't choose the car, it was chosen for me to keep the urchin 'safe' by his Daddy. The circumstances of how we met are relevant here in understanding this decision. I was driving a Toyota MR2 and I needed brakes...badly. He was concerned at my cornering speeds and decided to fix my brakes for free I was not enthusiastic about the volvo at first, but I genuinely had fun in it. (Just want to stress that I never drive fast when the urchin is with me) the main fun to be had was pulling upto boy racers at traffic lights, they would look over and see a woman in a nondescript car and revvvv up thinking they would look so cool at being first across the lights - and then I would just leave them for dust. That was fun. It also had heated leather seats which felt nice on bare buttocks. I agree that Volvo is not a sexy car. It is not the first thing I think of when I think of car porn, but I suspect you have been spoilt in whatever porn you watch. You must watch sexy, high class porn! I watch down market porn.
Isn't the T5's engine a 2.5?
QuoteIsn't the T5's engine a 2.5? Doh! I am such a dickhead! I asked my man about the engine in the Volvo Doh!It was a 2.4 D5 turbo diesel engine. because it was, erm Diesel NOT Petrol.
