Don't come to Louisiana.  Between the Feds and our Illustrious Governor, who wants to be Mitt Romney's running mate, they're eviscerating Medicaid.  There are NO public mental hospitals in New Orleans.  The closest one is about 30 miles away, with no public transportation.  They're closing it and sending the patients 200 miles away to Northern Louisiana for treatment.  They're also going to cut treatment for women with breast cancer and cut the funding for the LSU Medical Center by 40%.

They are utter cunts.

Also,  they are planning to take DLA off people who have lost limbs.  Providing they have a prosthetic one, that is.  Apparently, those ill fitting, cheap, plastic body bits they churn out in 'tango orange tan' mean you aren't disabled anymore.

Bastards!  They take from the poorest, weakest and most disadvantaged in our society.

yeah I was at an OCD thing the other day and other people there were talking about their ATOS interviews. I have one next week too. I wish theyd just make their fucking mind up. In the last year I must have had letters and surveys and stuff telling me they might be changing my money about 10 different times. Just make a fucking decision and stick to it for at least a yaeer ffs!

and QV, the american healthcare system sounds pretty scary. my relative who's married to an american doesn't think much of it lol (they live over there)

Depends on the state.  Massachusetts, health care is pretty damn accessible (MA has had "Obamacare" for years; it predates him considerably).  Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, mind, but from what I've seen, people in neighboring states often move to MA just for the health care.
