Not a whole lot. Checked out from the hotel and took the bus to the airport, figuring it is too warm to take a final stroll around central Montreal. At the airport, I've spent half an hour filling in conference evaluation forms, another 20 minutes drinking a cup of coffee and 40 minutes eating, but oh boy this is boring. Now doing fuck all while waiting to board the plane.

Keep buying more and more food from the shops and the vending machines!   :arrr:

Nah. I don't want to spend the transatlantic flight in the loo.

Are airplane bathrooms really scary?   :hide:

They are very tiny.

Shot an OC with a couple of clonidine pills thrown in the vial while mixing my shot. Then got out the power drill and jigsaw to hack up a section of the floorboards in order to recover some rather precious and hard to obtain lab reagents, the damn bottle of a certain aldehyde had fallen on its side and rolled deep inside a sealed off section of flooring. That took me a fair while cutting open the floor and then ferreting around in various contortionist positions using a tent peg to hook the bottle and reel it in.

I think its about time to go slam another OC before heading to the lab and starting to gear up for the oximation of this specific propionaldehyde. Its been too long since I did anything at all in ye olde skunk works. The myoclonus problem I've been having, coupled with the myoclonic seizures Ive been having have made me afraid of it happening in the middle of working with something potentially dangerous, a seizure starting during say, handling a grignard reagent, or a big flask of THF/LAH solution that would ignite and go up like hiroshima in miniature. Or of course, buggering up and a fit happening while working with the fruits of my labors, which are usually valuable, rare and precious.

Haven't had any muscular twitches though of late, and I feel a LOT better than I did a couple of weeks ago, so 'tis high time I got some actual work done.

Got the bugger eventually. Lol it reminded me of those money-making machines with the motorized crane/grabber things that are ALWAYS rigged not to grip properly, and almost never to actually win the teddy bear/small toy etc.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

They're irritatingly small.

Have you never been on an airplane?  ???

Yes, I went to California last year, I made a thread in Elders.
Check it out, I even fired guns!  But I was not BRAVE enough to use the bathroom.

They are small and, um, uninspiring. And it's no fun to hit turbulence while in there.

Scrounged around the house and found canned cat food, misc. dog stuff (non-perishable) that my neighbor threw out and some cotton balls for the no-kill animal shelter.  Hope to drop them off Tuesday.

Spent all weekend doing the same thing I do every weekend now.  Yard work.  Broke out the new chainsaw, trimmed up a bunch of really huge trees and made a bunch of firewood.

Found a bag of potatoes that somehow a fly had gotten into.  Yuck.  They're in the trash can waiting pickup tomorrow.

A couple of things I did today. E.g. I repotted my beloved Datura and gave the plant the biggest (ceramic/orangy red) pot I have. Saw the Datura kinda slow down and knew he needed fresh rich soil to lusciously grow again. Eager (to grow big) and thirsty plant it is. Nice.. and it is one of my favorite (pot) plants.

Cleaned the green (organic waste) bin also.. after fetching it, empty again, from the boardwalk. With a hose with a 'pistol' on the end of it.

Washed hands '44' times (during the course of the day) and made another pan full of brilliant broth. From a veal's shank (good quality).. plus herbs and veggies. It simmered (like.. just boiling) for a couple of hours and it now has a night without heat under it to give off that little extra.

Showered, brushed my teeth twice, ran some errands on my bike, etc., etc..

Went to the bank twice
Picked up a check
Loaded the van up with equipment for Vermont
Went out and helped one of my son's friends fix his car
