You might think of some of this as trying to sail the open seas.

You are not in control, but you have masts with sails you can manage on your own. You have big sails (personality, will, need, determination) and small ones (anticipation, regret and hesitation) and even smaller ones (fears, old failures), but you also have a rudder!

Never let your rudder run free! It is your ship. Keep it going in the direction you want!

When my kids were younger my neighbor would take his raked up leaves and fill black garbage bags of various sizes, cut a few bent sticks and create a army of spiders walking toward the street for Halloween fun.
I showed up one year with some lighting, five bucks worth of webbing from the Halloween store and we really set the thing off.

It freaked someone out, though. A group came by one night and tore it all to shit, broke my lighting equipment and set fire to his leaf bags.

Bastards!
 :dunno:

I forgot to add about my daughter's line of questions the day after ...

"Daddy, are scorpions stronger than spiders?"

And after more questions from me, she wanted to re-do it again, but with scorpions.

Unfortunately, my fancy bright lights were destroyed. And the neighbor was discouraged.

As usual my hair colouring job that was supposed to be a level 3 dark brown is indiscernible from void black.

And the cool tone it's supposed to be wasn't really cool toned at all. It was just a regular dark brown shade with purple shampoo & conditioner for afterwards. Kinda ripped off :thumbdn:

So far when working with L L today, she seems to be enjoying her naps on the couch... as of right now, I'm trying different hymns for her to listen to.

From what i saw of a picture of you (in your car), black does suit you. Once i used a dye called "light auburn brown" and my hair turned out black. My mum thought I was ashamed of my red hair and dyed it black on purpose. I think someone packed it wrongly or swapped bottles.

^ I was only aiming to cover the greys. I should have bought a level 4 or 5 brown to be honest. Level 1 is black, with the lightest blonde being like a level 13 I think.

Anyway back to the purple which isn't even supposed to work on brown. If you want to get the reddish brassiness out of brunette hair you have to use a dark olive/emerald green toner (there's a special Matrix shampoo you can get).

…but from what I’ve read so far, it seems he hasn’t developed his critical thinking skills yet.

And well, let’s face it, a lot of people who read/follow it haven’t either…

Most people following the Bible haven't read the thing.

I think it would be worse for them and for humanity itself if they did..

Surely it would be better for us all? In this day and age when pretty much everything is offensive, I'd think the book to be more offensive than most.

If people took the book literally and followed all its rules, I believe it would have a lot more followers in general because, people listen to authority, and the book is a source of that. Most people don’t read the Bible, but it doesn’t mean they would be more intelligent if they did, far from it.

Think of the Daily Mail readers, and ask yourself if you think they have turned more intellectual from that or The Sun, etc.

The Daily Mail is about as reliable as the bible.

I very much doubt there can be a scenario where people actually read the bible and take what it says literally, these days. So much easier not to and just accept whatever condensed and twisted versions may be on offer.

But if they actually did, they'd all be locked away fairly soon.

Love how we find (Carla and myself) find random tools along side the road during our walks.  And sometimes parts of equipment as well.  The tools, if they are intact and functional go to the Habitat for Humanity store.  The rest goes into the metals bucket for recycling at the metals recycling site nearby.

All I can do is be a friend, and when it's friends that are worth being around.... I'm happy, but when I start liking one of them(?)

:dunno: what to do after that...

Just be patient. Obviously .___.
