Apparently they tested a group of people in a supermarket or similar at random, here. Half of them had the virus but none had any symptoms.

This is why many in the medical community have said that masks are recommended when out in public. The mask does not protect you, but it may help to curb the spread of the virus from people who are infected but showing no symptoms.

But it also suggests that far more people have had the virus than originally thought.

I'm going for the hopeful interpretation.

Masks and gloves for the general public is advised against here. They would help, when applied the right way. But would be counterproductive when used the wrong way.

But there is desinfectant at the entrance of stores. Handles of grocery carts are cleaned between customers. Employees keep on deep cleansing all surfaces regularly touched. There are lines on floors, indicating what 1,5 meter is. I'm pretty impressed by how well people do keep to the regulations. Also with the wa spring weather.  And the curve of acceleration in hospitalisation seems to flatten nicely.
Now hoping it will go down soon.

If that many people have been infected already, without getting sick, it may go down soon.

Am aware that figures in Sweden will probably be higher, because of quite lax regulations, compared to other European countries.

They're restocked here too. Still can't find yeast or disinfecting wipes though. And all purpose flour is still hard to come by but I found a bag a few weeks ago.

Rice is difficult to come by. :-\

Was at the supermarket yesterday. There was a public announcement on the speakers about social distancing while shopping, and I couldn't help but think about dystopian science fiction films. I expected the speaker to continue with "and remember that your government loves you."

We'll be the first to succumb to the robotic overlords.

There was a Gold Key comic book series set in the 30-31 first century called "Magnus, robot hunter".  Who could decapitate a robot with a single karate chop.  More recently, there was Samurai Jack, who could slice thru Aku's Robot hunters with his magic sword.

All the storm sirens went off a little while ago warning of an extra high tide and flooding on the beach road I wasn't expecting it and it freaked me out a bit  till I hear the announcement

There's growing dissent among scientists about the path chosen by this government. Some say that the voluntary social distancing is not nearly enough and that as a result more people will die.

I don't need more enemies at work... I've had enough after the first time, and the people who hated me already left....

Now we have a new "Mr. Bob" who I refer to as Anglo-Bob -__-
