I would wonder why his security wasn't better prepared, especially in these times,
but it wouldn't affect me personally one way or the other.

Am I "upset" or saddened that anyone is killed?  Yes, because I wonder if they have made their peace with G_d and humanity, which is a whole 'nother subject that I'm not getting into.
