Not that it matters, but I wonder what the UK would have been like without the monarchy. Britain thrives on things like pomp and circumstance, and while the republicans don't want it, bread and circuses keeps the populace distracted and happy.

im happy w the monarchy in norway.
theyre just figureheads anyway. not hurting anybody.
and at least here they do a decent enough job at promoting very general human values, that ARE forgotten quite easily in this lame epoch of tv and movies and bullshit.

I'm not bothered one way or another. It seems that we need a head of state, and I don't suppose Queenie is any worse than David Cameron.

I have no interest in them, and I do feel it's wrong to have people that are seen as above everyone else, but they do bring in the tourists.

Persnonally, I just ignore them. I don't like, or dislike them.

I think it's wrong to have an unelected hea of state in 2010. It's something we need to move on from.

David Cameron is a twat but at least he was elected (although by a retarded eletorate)

I don't think it's right that they pretty much do fguck all but have all this money when other people have to work fucking hard for practically nothing

They do bring in tourists, but Buckingham palace etc would still bring in tourists as an historical site I think
