So, who's Irish?
« on: March 14, 2010, 09:31:57 AM »
St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner, so today I will get my Danu and Dropkick Murphys CDs ready for holiday listening, and I thought I'd post this topic because ethnicity is an interest of mine and I'm also just nosy!

Myself, I am at least 1/4 Irish...I used to say 3/8, but a few years ago, a cousin told me that the Anglo-Irish side of the family might also include some Native American ancestry. Anyway, 1/4 Irish is still plenty...a little goes a long way!  :green:

1/2 Irish & 1/2 crazy Hungarian.

Probably something else mixed in there too that I'm not aware of.

Awesome! My father's family is Austrian with a little Polish, but I seem to remember that the goulash recipe his mother passed down to him is Hungarian.

Nope. Wouldn't mind seeing it once though before I get too old to remember the trip.

The countryside is real pretty. It kind of reminds me of the Appalachian Mountians. Lots of good looking women there too. A lot of porn stars are from Hungary. If you're half Hungarian, that might explain why you're smoking hot! :eyebrows: :eyebrows: :eyebrows:

As far as I know, I'm not Irish at all.

The Irish were once very brave, though. I have a book about America, where Irish immigrants celebrate St Patrick's Day on the 4th of April 1867 by bashing the brains of cops. How cool isn't that.  8)

Well, there are pigs, and then there are O'Pigs!  :police:

Is the book factual, or fictional?

My brother had it when he studied in the US. It even has its own website now:
