I think insecure people still take IQ tests.   I only took one... and that was in elementary school.   It was good enough to get me into the Gifted program.   I don't need any further valuation of my intelligence.

I've always been vaguely curious, but I just don't have the focus to pay
attention on the online ones. I hate thinking on the computer, so I usually
end up crapping out around 140.

Better than getting 86. 

IQ tests are not the end-all, be-all.    Don't worry about it.   There are enough people that have high IQs and that have done jack shit with their life, and average people that have done a lot.

i actually have a difficult tme with doing these tests

i eventually figure out things and think they do not consider how we get the answer only that we were able to get it

making pictures from the blocks is hard for me and the only way i am able to do it at all is from just moving them around fast enough until it looks like the picture

if they actually consider how i get the answer i would score a lot lower than i do

I scored in the mentally retarded range growing up and then I started to score normal by the time I was 10. I heard lot of autistic kids score low on IQ tests while aspie kids score in the average or above average range. I scored in the above average when I was 12 but that was maybe a mistake. I was given IQ test growing up so perhaps I had practice at them. I think I took them every year. I think they do that to every special ed kid when they are in elementary school. Especially if parents keep trying to find what the heck is wrong with their child, doctors want to test their IQ. I quit going to lot of doctors after my diagnoses. There weren't literally lot of doctors but I went to lot of appointments with the same ones and sometimes it be a random one.

Hey the reason why autistic kids would score low is because those tests aren't designed for them, they're designed for normal people. Give a blind person an IQ test that requires you to see, they will also score low on it. Give a deaf person a IQ test that requires hearing and don't give them any sign language, they will also score low. Give an illiterate person an IQ test that requires reading, they will also score low. Give a concrete thinker an abstract IQ test and they will also score low on it. See anyone can score low on an IQ test if they have any sort of disability. They just need to be given the right IQ test.

I don't know what kind of IQ tests teachers gave me growing up. My dad said it was because I couldn't talk well so it made me score low. Hey I was talking well at age 6 but my score went up every year. When I was 8 I scored in the low 80's. It was an 83.
