I had come back, from a long hiatus, and necroed a lot of
threads. He had been drinking, and thought I was going
overboard. Had a nice discussion with him (in public, as
I do with you), and he apologized for overreacting. Really
impressed me.

Nah. They prefer necros there - and it was only in off topic. Just catching up
on a pile of conversations which I had been out of, for a couple months.
I hope that you are able to control yourself better when you start your new job as a software tester, or else your problems will follow you there too.
