You ASSUME that six million Jews were murdered during WW2 because you're told they are and you behave like a raving madman when someone tells you he has done a lot of research and came to the conclusion that your assumption is wrong. Don't you see how irrational your behavior is?

There is plenty of evidence proving the murder of millions of Jews and others during WWII. You choose to disregard that evidence. Yet you accuse others of behaving irrationally. Don't you see how irrational your behaviour is?

How could any member have reported him to his ISP? Any member can't see his IP, so any member doesn't know what ISP he has...

Very good point, whoever you are.

Though Odeon's not the only one who could do it, I think - any site admin could.

However, it raises the question of whether Odeon is using the site tools for his own personal ends, and whether that is a violation of any implicit agreement he has to put the site's ideals above his own.
You'll never self-actualize the subconscious canopy of stardust with that attitude.

Bullshit. There are no "implicit agreements".

Yes, I think you do enjoy it. You like thinking you know the real truth when everyone else is swallowing the bullshit.

No I don't, as this knowledge is quite a burden on a person. I enjoy the research itself, but it strongly bothers me how hostile people react when I share my conclusions.

You see, I used to be similar to you, I used to follow all the crazy kooky ideas and conspiricy theories etc. I bought into all that crap until I realised it was preying on my hightened paranoia which is a part of my AS DX. After I gave it all away, I realised that I didn't miss it and I had more time to devote to things that were more worthwhile. Like doing shit that was for me.

First of all, I don't take anything for granted. I'm just as sceptical towards claims about UFOs or Yetis as I am towards mainstream statements.

Second, I enjoy the research itself as I already mentioned.

First you say this:

Quote
My views may be controversial, but I treat people with respect regardless of their political views, their religious views, their ethnic background, their sexual preference, etc.

Then you say this:

Quote
Sure I think that homosexuality is a perversity of nature

and this:

Quote
Sure I strongly object to Jewish culture

How are these two about treating people with respect?

For me, respect means treating someone like you would treat your best friend IN SPITE OF what you might think of their lifestyle, their background, etc.

You treat me with great disrespect, because you judge me on an individual based on my convictions, which makes you no better than those who abused Jews, Christians or any other group in the past that was persecuted for its convictions.

And please read some of my other posts from the time before you joined I2 before you again hint at my intolerance and whatnot. I've defended other groups of people against narrow-mindedness and intolerance, against ill-conceived attacks

And now are the one behaving in an intolerant and narrow-minded way, launching ill-conceived attacks against others. Don't you see that you are behaving exactly like the kind of people you dispise?

[...] from people very much like yourself

I've never mistreated a single human being or animal in my life. Respect for life is a very important value to me. You should really stop stereotyping me based on your prejudice about what nationalists and traditionalists are like.

Wasn't there a line that you quoted (and I'm paraphrasing), "they came for the communists but I remained silent because I was not a communist, ..."? Why is it that you cannot understand what that quote actually is about?

It is about decent people ignoring dissidents being victims of abuse, because they're not dissidents themselves. Jews, communists and socialists were to the Third Reich what Holocaust Revisionists, nationalists and traditionalists are to modern society today : an minority that's abused for standing up for what they believe in.

There is plenty of evidence proving the murder of millions of Jews and others during WWII. You choose to disregard that evidence.

You are the one disregading the evidence. I gave you a lot of arguments for why the official status quo does not make any sense and you did not even address half of them.

But since you brought it up, Pyraxis, there is one other thing.

Our host clearly points out (in the TOS) that the laws of the State of Florida, the State of Texas, and the United States of America apply. They also prohibit various types of content; hate sites gets special mentioning, but they also point out that promoting illegal activities is forbidden. If that includes the US only is unclear, but considering the various treaties in effect between the US and the EU, for example, I wouldn't bet on it.

And here's a real kicker:

Quote
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Any material that, in our judgment, is obscene, threatening, illegal, or violates our terms of service in any manner may be removed from our servers (or otherwise disabled), with or without notice.

Do you have any idea of how easy it would be for a decent lawyer to have the site suspended or closed down?

It's my arse on the line, not yours, not anyone else's, and I'm not risking the place for a little closet Nazi whose views I find deplorable, and who seemingly doesn't care that he is already breaking the laws of *his* country. If that somehow violates "the ideals of the site" or your ideas of it, well, tough. It's not your call.

And I'm not even banning him. I'm letting his ISP decide.

You choose to mistreat whole *groups* of people, not just single human beings. Tell me: is it easier because you know that you don't have to face them? Have you told your friend, face to face, that she is a perversity of nature, yet?

I don't mistreat anyone. How thick is your skull, for f***'s sake, that you don't see the difference between disagreeing with someone's views or lifestyle and mistreating them? I guess you don't see any difference because you yourself always mistreat those who disagree with you, as your behavior with regards to me perfectly illustrates.

Besides that, I did discuss the Holocaust with my Jewish friend who actually lost several family members during WW2 and she actually thought my arguments were very convincing. I also discussed Africa with my black Ghanese colleague and (quite to my surprise) I noticed that his views on Africa were very similar to mine. I can't remember if I ever discussed homosexuality with my lesbian friend, since I've known her for about 10 years now.

With everyone I meet, I try to measure how openminded they are or how much their views differ from mine to be able to determine how freely I can speak. It's a form of probing with words. Depending on the results, I allow myself to say nothing, parts or all of my views. It's necessary if I want to avoid the sort of intollerant and irrational reaction you have displayed on this forum since there are way too few people who can actually handle the truth.... although it's easier if they meet me in person, since in real life you can use your natural charm whereas on the Internet you cannot.

What are yours?

I'm getting quite sick of people asking me to explain my views, then asking me to provide arguments, then ignoring most of those arguments and then insulting me.

Too many people too much corruption. They have been either fighting or under someone else's rule too long.  Until they learn to live together nothing will change

Telling on someone to their ISP because they have views that you do not agree with is pretty damn pathetic.   I could see if the person in question was admitting to actual wrongdoing (murder, rape, paedophilia, etc)., but this is just someone stating their opinion.    Having discussions over differing points of view is very different than actually mistreating people.    Is Odeon actually going out of his way to tattle on someone, just because he finds his views to be offensive?   "Snitch" behavior is something that should be looked down upon in the case of opinions and laws based on having such opinions.   I think it is disgusting of Belgium to have such a law, to be honest.
:P   Internets are super serious.

Hm. Have you actually agreed to put the site's ideals above your own or not? In the past you've said the place is what the users make it, but you've also said (I think) that you're the despot.

Many European countries have such laws like Belgium. In some countries you can get jailed for months without even "addressing" your "hatred" at a specific group. I read a story about a man in Germany who got 5 months in jail for teaching his dog to raise his right front leg. No, it's not a joke. And the dog ended up in a "foster home" where an animal psychologist should learn him not to raise his leg that high. No, it's still not a joke...

First of all, what ideals? Second, agreed with whom? Third, no, I have not said that; I called myself "replacement despot" when Dunc left, but jokingly, as I was referring to Dunc's title, "the jolly despot".
