Not that I've really done such things.

They were walking in the opposite direction, so I'd have needed to change direction, run to overtake them and then change direction again to walk past them again.  It's kind of hard to meet people on the street, since most people on the street are busily going somewhere.

two things - we got V+ installed (like Tivo to you 'merkins) and got the interweb pipes fattened; and finally got my student loan deferral sorted so I don't have to deal with fucking collection agencies any more. :woohoo:
