I got to see my kids on Chrissie for three hours. After $6000 and nine months of fighting my ex through court and mediation. It was perfect.
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

I think that to be able to see your children is something worth fighting for.

What did you do together for Christmas?

When will you get to see them again?

My daughter and I indulged in a day of shopping, she got some Farside and Garfield books as well as a bunch of BellaSara trading cards AND I got some GOOD Volcano books!! :green:

Cool.
Both my kids have been into Garfield for a while. my son has just discovered gary larson's incredible wit, though.
We have much work to do.

I have neeb getting mih some books at the library full of stupid jokes and I found one about the origins of colorful sayings andand how they all relate to the history of the times in which they became popular. Designed for kids.

It is truly a fun grey area lesson to teach.

My daughter has an incredible intelligent wit and creative spirit.  She has experienced and adores wit/humor of all types, from Mel Brooks to Monty Python, Whose Line is it Anyway or whatever.  She also loves asking what certain puns or jokes may mean, as she doesn't have the full historical reference to understand some of them.  But, she knows that she can ask us about things that most parents would blanch in horror in answering.   ::)  The way my wife and I see it, a sense of humor is an essential survival tool in this crazy world.  AND a curious mind is not a bored mind, to paraphrase Vincent Price.  ("If your curious, you'll never be bored.")

Books are an indulgence that reaps benefits!!  IMHO

Curiosity is certainly in full force in this house.

Humour is also an almost impenetrable shield for me too (almost ...  ::)) and I plan on helping them all i can to use humour, first.

We are still a bit away from a fine appreciation of situational humor though. ToM and all that.

Ghandi: Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.

The end result of life's daily pain and suffering, trials and failures, tears and laughter, readings and listenings is an accumulation of wisdom in its purest form.

I will start seeing them regularly again. Every two thing I will have them Fri Arvo to Mon Morning.
I spent 3pm to 6pm with them in a park near where she dropped them off. It was fantastic. Played, ate picnic, talked, opened and played with presents. Missed it.
