Yeah, that'd be it.  Had they stopped there, they'd have just ended up on the massive "dislike" list.  Plenty of parents pull that crap, mine included.  When it persists into adulthood and starts affecting the grandkids, now we've got a whole new ballgame.

But if I'm to say I'm not ashamed of my body, I better put my money where my mouth is, eh?  247.5 pounds according to my scale this morning.  According to my ultrasound this afternoon, 2lbs 11oz of that is directly attributable to the small person currently residing in my uterus.  ;)
