A guy wrote a book about a ship called the Titan which sank when it ran into an iceberg because people thought it was unsinkable!!  :yikes:

Does seem pretty damned uncanny.
Ofc, the Tinanic could have named (maybe consciously , or maybe unconsciously) by somebody who'd read the book. That would explain the similarity in the names. I would imagine that April is the most likely month for a passenger ship to strike an iceberg.  An awful  lot could be explained by the author's extensive  knowlede of the shipping industry, just as he said,
But both ships  sank 720km  from Newfoundand?
I do suspect clairvoyance here. Why not? But, then,  I'm already convinced that clairvoyance does occur. To paraphrase another author , I don't think time works quite the way we think it does.

Nothing supernatural about it. Hitting icebergs was not unheard of at the time, and there have been several ships with similar names, including one or two actually named Titanic. I read about the book a long time ago but didn't find the book itself. AFAIK, they produced a new edition after the accident, changing some details to better match the real-life ship.
