Hi. I'm an ex feminist.
I went into the movement because i believe in equality.
I got out of it, because the feminists DON'T.
During my time amongst them, I did learn a lot. Primarily that feminists are for anything BUT equality.
They are for supremacy and nothing less. I spent enough time with them to learn this in no uncertain terms.
When I chastised them for being hypocrites they called me a "gender traitor". I did this numerous times, and was told that I hated my own gender, and was a "shill for the patriarchy".
I left. Never looked back, and I am all the better for it.
I never thought that standing up for the rights of BOTH genders would be seen as "gender traitorism", but an interest in actual equality. Equality cannot be one sided, by its very definition.
My conclusion...? That feminists have bastardized the word "equality". As time has gone by, I have learned that they do that with a lot of words.
Anyways, the "Male feminists" you speak of, are what are nowadays referred to as "Manginas". Crass but befitting word, I dare say.
I saw many of them during my time among my "sisters". They are a disgusting lot. Many thought that kowtowing to us would get them laid rather easily. In very FEW instances that was the case. But usually not.
Even most feminists see them as spineless, groveling, Uncle Toms.
Most, including myself (but for different reasons) simply laughed at them behind their backs. However feminists find them to be 'useful idiots' wonderful puppets and tools to further the agenda.
Yes, for the Mangina, it IS mostly about currying female favor simply to get laid. And yes, these "Men" are usually into the "dominatrix" types and like being humiliated and dominated by women.
They are a disgusting, effeminate lot that even most feminists won't touch. But bless their (idiotic) little hearts, they just keep trying.
These so-called "Male feminists" believe that living in a world dominated by females would be a paradise for wimpy, arse kissing, self hating males. and they want to do their part in helping the feminists bring this world about. It is more about their own self serving fetishistic sex fantasies than it is about "Women". (even a number of feminists will tell you that they, indeed, realise this).
I had a number of these ..."men" ask me to tie them up or spank them! (I'm feeling a bit nauseated, just thinking of it) I of course declined, politely. (I am British, after all).
The main reasons feminists allow these ..."men" to stick around, are #1. Having a "Man" parrot the feminist narrative gives more "credibility" to the feminist agenda(s). They will point to these "men" and say; "See?? SEE??? a MAN is saying it, too, therefore we are RIGHT!".
And #2. There are some women in the feminist movement that like having docile, effeminate, submissive "men" about, because they simply like to have "men" to dominate. And these "men" are more than happy to capitulate.
They are some of the MOST pathetic human beings on the planet.
They were another reason why I left feminism. Truth be told.... They simply made me physically ILL!

As a man, brought up in the south of the almighty USA, I do not think of displaying a "Rebel flag"  as anything more than an attempt by some few lost souls  to keep some part of ancient history alive and, in some cases,  remind everyone that, when it is time to "stand up to a powerful enemy, "  as all Americans have always done, those Southern souls did so, despite the fact that it was their own government that was attacking them.

Now, I believe that the Civil War in the USA is over and done with. As Americans we ALL won our civil war.  President Lincoln managed to preserve the Union between the states, despite his flexing of Executive powers for commanding that some of the states rally to the aid of others, attempting to secede from the union.

The re-writing of history, making the Rebel flag a sign of oppression of blacks and a symbol of white supremacy is some new thing that has happened since the seventies.

As my being student of history might suggest, can you guess my reaction when encountering a Union Jack? Yes, I have a restrained loathing for the British. Not only did we as Americans have to tell the horrific empire to fuck off and GO die in war, more than once (!!!!!!!!!), BY THE WAY,  we suffered from their legacy of slavery for another eighty years before we finally banned slavery from our shores, then another hundred years before "some" began to accept "freed slaves"  as citizens.

While we may all be guilty of treasonous acts, one of the images I despise (you should be able to understand) is this:
