There is a right to free speech and free speech is protected under American constitution. Free speech comes from Free expression or free ideas. What I mean by this is that if you have free speech laws then you lift the lid on where this speech comes from. People are allowed to think outside of the box and be liberal (apparently a completely different word to what YOU associate liberal ideas with) and with what they are voicing.

If you are in a country without such freedom, you are not allowed to express any of these ideas or thoughts. You need to deny you have them at every instance.
