Massacred a lot of ants.
I usually let them be, as long as they don't bother me. But now these ones had gone too far.
Making the place impossible for my Common Hollyhock to grow, and now heading towards my front door.
I used a kettle of hot boiling water.
Will give them the same treatment a couple of days in a row. That should minimise them enough for a while.
Had not given them this treatment last year. Before that, it was a yearly thing. Guess that is what got them so big now. Not being boiled last year.

I read somewhere that Sweet and Low (1 Packet) sprinkled on the antpile will do them in.  Also putting grits on the ant pile.  The grits swell in their stomachs and Keblooom!
