gave two seminars; met with an ex-student/friend for coffee and gossip; spent two hours chatting with some of my current students.
oh and discovered what at least some of my current students think of me. while my friend was waiting outside for me to finish my first seminar, he heard some students talking, and wondered if they were mine. the first lad said, "she's fucking mental!", to which his friend replied, "yeah, but she's fucking brilliant." my friend said he thought, "yep - that's lucifer's group."
isn't that nice? i took it as a real compliment.
and i have at least one aspie in one of my groups. but then, i alway do - they always find their way into my groups, and the groups are sorted merely by timetabling criteria. i reckon my witchy aspie magnet is working again, though, eh?
