Didn't you ask your doc for Tavegyl and Lecrolyn as I said?

I did. Not helping a lot, right now.

Bugger, I keep bumping the little wound on my index finger against random stuff. Burned the finger on a pan almost a week ago and it became a blister. Opened the little pocket up but that might have been not the correct procedure.

Even working with my (comp.) mouse irritates the finger. Washing up my pans and knives in hot water is delightful also.

I have managed to cut myself three! times in the same indexfinger, almost on the same spot, since December 2005  :facepalm2:

^ Ja, be a bit cautious with knives. After my last cut, quite a deep and lousy one, I know I am.

Um, kinda avoid using the vegetable knife that 'gave' me that wound back then (p/m a year ago), now. Dangerous little fucker (by Sabatier/some French brand).

What I always find remarkable is how well the body recuperates as fast and 'clean' again after e.g. a wound. Truly remarkable mechanism it is.

Oh, less so when you keep irritating the spot though  (see previous post).

Nothing, much, just a buttload of left over pain from having my femur sawed off and my marrow drilled into to have a massive titanium prosthesis screwed into place, while removing enough of my pelvis to screw in a metal slab large enough to support the horror that was installed into my femur. And now being back at work where, even part time I am walking about five miles per day.

Honestly, though, I am healing, it seems. Doctor says it will take about a year to heal from a total hip replacement. I had hoped to cut that prognosis in half, but I was a bit optimistic.

Good thing you are healing. Sounds very painful, what you've been through.

Had a angle grinder start smoking and seize up,  it got hot as hell too before I tossed it on the ground.  I was hoping for it to burst into flames but it blew the breaker instead

I am now furloughed on Fridays, which means my paycheck is 20% less. The first one included only one missed Friday, so it was just $250, but next week's will be light by $500. Granted I ain't poor, but I have three minions to feed. And it's not like those idiots in Congress didn't give themselves raises. Not to mention all that had to happen to avoid this was to put taxes on the Top 3% back where they were in the late 90s, rather than leave them at the all-time lows they are at now. :finger:

Good thing you are healing. Sounds very painful, what you've been through.

Words are too weak to express the kind of pain involved in such a "procedure."

However, I am doing better with each coming day.  I actually made it all day today with just two ten MG Hydrocodone and a few aspirin, Tylenol and some Ibuprofen.

I am working my way OFF the opiates, despite the residual pain.!
