Are you sure some of it is not just psychological?

Not having a go at you or anything, but it seems too much.

Or a neurological side-effect of chronic opiate use.  Isn't pain a characteristic of opiate withdrawal, the same way sleepiness is a characteristic of amphetamine withdrawal?  Maybe Lestat's tolerance for opiates has reached a point where he needs a high maintenance dose just to avoid feeling the reverse-analgesia effects of withdrawal, without much headroom left for actual analgesia from the opiates, the same way I sometimes need amphetamines just to not feel really tired, rather than to feel alert and energetic.

Drugs are never a problem, only an answer.  When in doubt, more drugs!

It was this way before I started on as strong a painkiller as oxy. At the moment I take 80mg BD, Not sure what the absolute minimum needed to hold me is, I'd probably do OK with 60, and feel a bit rough, although manageably so at 40.

I don't see how the physical stuff going on could be psychosomatic either. My leg collapsed under me twice yesterday when I tried to walk on it. I'd got up off my bed,and as soon as I transferred my weight onto my bad leg, it folded under me, and did it again straight away as I tried to get up.

Luckily I wasn't hurt either time, but had to pull myself on top of my bed again with my upper body strength, and wait until my knee decided it was going to stay put.
Beyond the pale. Way, way beyond the pale.

That's about what I was thinking.

My eye infection is still not gone. Going to see an ophthalmologist today.

Could also be that the focus of research always was at the joints, while the real problem could be in the nerves. Something like myelin damage or hernia like things.

My windshield cracked on my way home today.  I did not hit anything I just looked down and it was there :dunno:

Water problems seem to be the bane of the day today.  Our washing machine overflowed.  Thank heavens it's outside in a small room off the carport.  We bailed most of the water out and turned the machine to spin and drain, which it did.  So the problem is either the sensor is bad or the tube to the sensor needs to be cleaned out.  We'll have a look tomorrow.  We had to throw away about 2 trash bags of things that got wet and sweep the water from the laundry room and the carport.
