I think that you should go to the doctor and get checked for gastroesophageal acid reflux.

 I will ask about it.  My brother has had that condition for years.

But you said you don't want to be sarcastic with this person because you like them enough not to, but not enough to consider the offence that has already happened. Does this person make light of things important to you, knowing you will read them? Music studies would be a good example.

I considered the offense that had already happened by changing the picture settings so that she couldn't see it, as she requested. Before then I hadn't actually realised that she was a Christian.
People make light of things that important to me all the time; I know it's just teasing. My ex used to make fun of me being a music student all the time (and no, that is not why we broke up).


I'm still talking to the person now; we've agreed to disagree, and we are now discussing various musical activities that we've been involved in.

People make light of things that important to me all the time; I know it's just teasing.

Teasing is sometimes hurtful, even though sometimes not intended, and have read you write here of such hurt done to you on facebook, which I agreed was crappy thing to do. Didn't know you didn't know she was religious. Nice to see you did consider and worked things out.
