Another boiling hot day in the office. They pretty much don't care about our comfort at this point.

Because they can't afford $30k? Does that mean next summer will be the same?

I'd look for a job elsewhere. I can't stand being hot!

A new job is the dream. Sadly it's a small town, so I'm thinking of killing two birds with one stone by moving away (the other bird being moving somewhere I can actually afford a house).

Today we had painters at our place painting the gutters, etc. I had to ask them to move their ute twice (I went out twice), then when I came home I had to park with the rear end of my car sticking out into the driveway because their painting gear was in the carport where I usually park.

They scared the crap out of Liam - I went to let him out the back and a guy on a ladder was there. Liam didn't notice until he was outside so he jumped and ran back inside straight into my legs.

Ah, car trouble. Had to call the shop and tell them I'm not coming in because my car has decided to run really rough with a sound I've never heard before.

I've called road service and they're saying they should be here within the hour. I hope there's room for them as there's painters here still.

That's for sure. Once my radiator decided to crap itself on the freeway at 11pm. It was over 50kms from home too, so I had to go to an ATM to get money out. It was not a nice experience to sit in a tow truck for ages with a guy who barely uttered a word.

Anyway, the car problem yesterday was loose spark plugs. The guy said good on me for not continuing to drive my car. He said some people would. I said not with the noise it was making.

I went into the shop after my car was fixed and they were glad to see me, fully expecting me not to come in at all yesterday.

Thanks, Phoenix. It didn't cost me anything which I was really glad about. I just had to make a phone call which was the hardest part.

My oldest cat has been sick for the past week.
First she was vomiting, and then she wouldn't eat. She has perked up a bit now energy wise but she's still not eating.
She went to the vet on friday but they couldn't pinpoint anything wrong.
I've noticed that she doesn't want to chew on dry food, so I reckon they missed something in her mouth (which they briefly looked at), an ulcer or tooth abcess or something.
