I only know 5 of them though I read a bunch of the early stuff when I first joined. Actually with all the shit stirring and shit flinging I read back in mid 2008 I was not sure about staying here.

I have a few random things in common with Pyraxis, notably our similar outlooks and an appreciation for art of various forms.

The others, I do not know, except for having read the entire site a few years back. It would be difficult to read the entire site, these days. Reading the entire site was a month-long project when I came on board. EZ PZ

That was my point. While I am NOT a starter, when I arrived it was easy to read the entire site in a few days or weeks and keeping up with everything was ez pz!

Thank Fuck that there is more these days.

BTW, WTF does "thank fuck"  or "I pray to fuck" even mean?  You know what I am saying, right? We  hear these things. We say this at times and it means what?  nothing?

Can I appeal to "fuck" to get a raise in pay at work? I do not know.  How does one appeal to "fuck?"

WTF!  How does "fuck" respond to that simple question?

He,  peaguy (or however it should be spelled) invited me here from WP, because he saw my antagonistic soul, first hand. He then continued attempting to make me give up and turn into his bitch and run away. It has not happened, yet.

Just to set things back to right, I really like him (though, not at first) and I would love to have another "bitchslap fight" with him. ... or just sit down and have an ale and a couple of crisps.

We have both had rough times in our lives and our common interests are few and far between, but it is rare that one finds a common soul that one can fight with and still respect.  I respect peaguy.  I miss him.

This, my friend, is where we differ.

Peaguy, in my humble opinion, is a back-stabbing cunt, not to be trusted.

Asked for his IRL address so he could send Christmas cards. Later used it to send a letter to Odeon's wife about his affair with Vivi.

As far as I know, Pea hasn't been jailed or put anyone in hospital.

I think Vivi manipulated the fuck out of Pea and that's why he appeared to get worse over time. But we all know what I think of her. Pea has a simple and straightforward mind, though he doesn't follow the limits of what people have come to know as civilization. He's never done me wrong.

Pea asked for my address for a card as well.  Never gave it to him.  It felt like a trap, and I think it probably was, or else would have become one.

Pea tended to go pretty intensely back and forth on how he felt about people (or at least, he seemed to about me, and I remember PeterMackenzie saying something very similar about how Pea related to him), and when he decided he wanted to attack, he was vicious, mean, vindictive, and had a real lack of proportion/boundaries.

He wasn't physically dangerous, no, but IIRC he was pretty outrageous with relational aggression.

Probably way more info than any of us need, TBH.

I was in my own little world, trying to keep afloat.

I suppose we should actually count in anyone who was a member of the original Intensity among the original members here.

This news changes things. I want his retort and wtf is up with VV? If she was close to him, how could she allow this to happen and then just disappear?

Probably way more info than any of us need, TBH.

I SUXXORS as a "friend."   I had no idea that this shit had happened.
I was in my own little world, trying to keep afloat.

Ain't gonna happen here since he's banned. I haven't had contact with either of them since Dunc took down his forum. If there's another side to that story, I don't know it... but it was years ago.
I was under the impression it was an action of Pea on his own, seeking revenge for seeing a friend hurt. Something he could not let go.
For the rest, he was really laid back, on the Drivel.
VV disappeared, not for bad reasons, IIRC before this action of Pea. But, my memory may be failing me.

Dunno. I miss him and his highlands and lizards.

What about his curls? What about his insight. What about his bravery. What about his intelligence?

I am actually worried about his health, tbh.

I have known too many who were so healthy in their early twenties and then just ...... not sure that I want to say it outright ...... faded away.

The original Intensity generated a fair bit of drama and so some people held off joining the new site, me included. I was new at the whole spazz board thing back then and so didn't consider joining until the site had already been taken down.

When I2 was started, I lurked a couple of days before joining, wondering if that same drama would be repeated.

Never heard of Isquared until PG invited me here.

I am certain that he wanted to have me here so as to make a mockery of me, but he underestimated me, over and over again. I held my own against his wind of shit.

I found "friends" here.   ... and some enemies. (I posted fairly ugly stuff against a few members at first. LOL).  Unfortunately, my "best friend" turned out to be a Ceasar type (remember?) and quite "tricksy"  as Gollum says.  Took me a bit of time to accept  him as a "friend" again, after all that.

I am now talking about three or so years after the beginning of ISquared, once "we".decided to allow anyone to be an admin.  WTF were we thinking?

The main problem with our democracy experiment was that the board became a board about how to run a board. Plus, of course, that people wanted an admin spot so they could generate new drama.

Nothing wrong with either, but it's not what this place was supposed to be about, IIRC.

Yup.

I could never claim to know what this place was about, since I am such a late-comer,  but once I arrived, it became a bit more difficult every single day to be rid of me.

I2 was always about enabling the spazzes, teaching them how to fight for themselves. Then, of course, it became a virtual pub that, while including plenty of fighting, also included plenty of pointless drama.

I think it has been successful, for the most part.

Alive, well, employed and fruitfully occupied. Perhaps even somewhat contented.

As for the politics, I still take an interest, but I've gained a preference for being more directly involved in 'stuff' that actually has an (local) impact, as opposed just being a member of a political party.

I've matured, I suppose. I'm a lot slower, more calm, and feel like life has been one long weight that has been too long on my shoulders.

So it goes , I suppose.

The people I knew from this time period, back then, some I've met years ago, others have dropped out of my life. Its all been one long, melancholy ride.

I know the story but retellings are always fun, go for it.
Ok one Bodaccea story coming up.  Before i begin  i feel its worth pointing out to the reader a couple of things about this period in history.  Celtic women were considered more 'equal' to their men - yes they would go out hunting, fighting and were often seen slapping their thigh downing a large goblet of strong ale!!  Roman women were not!!!!! (equal)

During the Roman Empire England had numerous kings/queens.  They were land owners.  Bodaccea was the wife of one of these kings who owned the land around Colchester. They were from a celtic tribe called the iceni.  The romans came and took over many of england's 'kingdoms'.  They would try and make a deal with the land owner - he kept his title etc but would pay them fees and govern his land under their control.  An agreement such as this was in place at colchester and worked quite well...until the king died.  Bodaccea then became queen under celtic tradition and she expected the agreement made by her late husband with the romans to stand.  The roman's saw things differently and were not going to 'do business' with a woman.  They refused to acknowledge her Queen status and demanded that she give up her lands.  Bodaccea did not comply.  Eventually a huge roman army came and took the kingdom of colchester from Bodaccea.  She was forced to watch them rape and kill her two teenage daughters.  She was then forced to leave. Outcast.

Now this pissed Bodaccea off.  The iceni tribe were loyal and regrouped with Bodaccea on the outskirts of colchester.  She gathered a mighty army.  They were outnumbered by the romans but faught with passion and spirit and charged back into colchester.  They kicked ass.  Despite the odds the romans were defeated.  For a while anyway.  Bodaccea was as chuffed as a dog with two cocks.  They celebrated in true celt style -  they got pissed.  So pissed that they forgot all about the ruck with the romans who had called for backup.  They were so pissed they didnt even see the huge army coming over the hill.  There is no record of Bodaccea's grave.  It is said that she escaped and killed herself with poison.  There is a record of her by one of the roman emperors - she did exist and did kick some ass but i don't know how true the rest of the story is.  It is said she had red, waist length hair and rode a chariot - probably things just added to the story as time went on.  I like the story, and Bodaccea was a bit of a childhood hero for me.  I like it when the underdog wins,

god that was an essay  lol

I scanned the membership list and came up with these members who were the original (April 1, 2006) members of Intensity Squared.  Thought I'd introduce ya'll to them.

Diesel
DivaD
drudgereport
Leto729
McGiver
Merry Widow
PMS Elle
Pyraxis

I know 6 of these 8 along with Dunc and Eamonn. I never knew DivaD or drudgereport.

I joined a few months later when I heard RobertN bitching about this place with McJagger (SB2) on WankPlanet.
