US admits contact with other countries over potential Snowden flights – as it happened (http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/jul/03/edward-snowden-asylum-live)
How can European countries just take orders from these creeps? They are the criminals that should be hunted for violating the US constitution and an enormous amount of international agreements :facepalm2:
-
When has int'l law (or The Hague) been a factor to how the US conducts business?
Why should it be a factor now?
-
Yeah that was about as useless as a fucking sewer ratshit. Thanks a lot Obama. More like blowmama. Fucking communist wanna-be asshole.
-
It was a weak and cowardly action. Obama is butthurt. :P

I'm mostly pissed that European nations simply obey :grrr:

They have to. We know their secrets. Apparently. :orly:
Seriously, I feel like they're trying to make an example of Snowden, but that that's just causing a PR nightmare that really does the opposite of what they want it to. Unless, of course, there's a deeper conspiraceh than that, even, and we're supposed to be sympathizing with Snowden. Hard to know where paranoia ends and reality begins.
If he himself hadn't been so much in the public eye from the beginning, he would probably be dead by now; that, I do believe. Now, it would be waaaaaay too much of a PR problem if he "disappeared."
-
I think he is real. That thing with the beautiful wife, his verbal skills etc. isn't very strange, considering that he was an intelligent person in a high positon.
-
I don't doubt that he is real or that he did what he did.
-

It was a fucking waste of time and money is what it was. Two years in and I had already figured out the guy was weak and cowardly, and totally not the man I voted for. This guy is hurting my country even more than Bush, which is a true nightmare, because Bush couldn't even think.
-
Bush was more entertaining.

He's more stupid than the king of Sweden, but the king has no power :facepalm2:

Yeah. I guess this means bush was a better president, simply because it was fun to watch him be a dumbass? Oh god. My country ssssssuuuuuuuuuucksssss! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ah America, land of the rich, home of the international bully.
-
More like the land of a couple of rich families, and the home of millions and millions of blind slaves.
-
There aren't less blind slaves here :(

Bread and circuses.
Are you denying that America is an international bully?
-
Many European politicians are saying straightforward that America is an international bully.
The catch is that they don't dare to do anything more about it than bitch, though. Not even the French, who are usually extremely chauvinist, denied to do as America told them about closing air corridors, for instance.

Are you denying that America is an international bully?
Yes. YEs as a matter of fact I AM denying that. Although 99% of the nation is bamboozled into following this scheme, that doesn't mean they know its happening.
Don't lump people like me with the elite global bankers, dude. Matter of fact, I think it would be more appropriate to say that America is like the "gun" that the "bully" is using in your metaphor. International bully? Is the "gun" to blame, or the person who fired it? Who is firing that gun, you might ask? Follow the money, and media influence.(hint)

Bush was more entertaining.
No, George, 2u, Bush 'made' the world quite a sadder place to be. Still think he should be free of charge target practice.. gun shooting wise.

Your country is what your government makes it to be, for the rest of the world. And right now they work hard on that bully image

I'm mostly pissed that European nations simply obey :grrr:
It doesn't hurt that they're our allies(1) and that we have enough conventional firepower to level their cities AND much of the countryside as well, at least of any one nation(2).
They "simply obey"'ed when America went to war with Iraq, with either Nato or the EU-portion of the UN bending over backwards to support our hawk lobby (I can't remember which agency was involved.) Of course, France, Germany and Russia opposed our motion for war. It kinda sucks they were just being dicks about their arms sales to Iraq -with the 4th largest military in the world, Iraq was pretty profitable customer-, and not actually opposing the war on conscientious grounds.
That America is occasionally allowed to play 'puppetmaster' with foreign states is something of a testament to the sheer psychological power wielded by our government. It's also nothing new.
-
Actually most did not obey when the US went to war with Iraq. Tony the lapdog did, but a lot of the "allies" didn't.
That act of war is a testament to the sheer stupidity of your government. The one then, and the one now.
-

That's not what I was told at the time, but then... our news can be selective in its reporting.

I'll agree with the former, but what "one now"? There is no Iraq war now. We pulled out, remember?

What is happening there now is in no way connected to what happened then?

I thought we were talking about war(s)... guess not. :dunno:
-
The war didn't end just because the US declared it to be over. Do you have any idea of how many civilian casualties there have been since the end of the "war"? It takes more than running away from the mess you've created to end it.

Thing is... I didn't deny any of this. But I thought were talking about a direct engagement, not whatever the hell "war" you are referring to. It seems you changed subjects midsentence. Am I mistaken, or...?
-
Or?
You are mistaken.

No I didn't actually. See anywhere I look, I see someone(usually a European), who attacks the second an American citizen speaks about any issue.

What the fuck with comments like this no wonder America sucks you know nothing of the issue :zoinks: :P

If anything is critizised, it's usually American politics.
It does happen on occasions that rednecks are kind of ridiculed in European news, though.

 That may be the case though I imagine he is a nice little prize for them especially if they keep him they can squeeze out more info. One thing that hasn't been said much about is just how reliable his info is. Think of the possibilities of having mixed in with the good some disinformation

It's supposed to be a temporary asylum, though.
