I don't even know what to think here? Are they shoes advertising the police? Why?

Don't forget the handcuffs!  :zoinks:

Damn those ARE cool.

The Icequeen has never quite mastered the art of walking in high heels though.  ::)

Only in America......  :zombiefuck:

It seems that certain people have a hard-on for authority regardless of location.

It's the fashion police! :zoinks:

Oh, that's cool, but did you know that here in America, a company named Carbon is coming out with the world's FIRST police car that was designed specifically for law enforcement, by law enforcement?

Ooooh... authority... :autism:

I think they are aimed at those who like to dress up.  I think they look quite sexy.  Alas, like
IceQueen i could not walk very far in them!

I do have a thing for shoes.  You can never have enough...

these are reported to be 'the most expensive' in the world. They are on sale for a mere £140K!

At least you would be quite stylish walking the streets pushing your grocery cart of possessions.

Looks like speakers too. Do the have a siren?
Title: Re: Stiletto Police

No siren i am afraid.  Can you imagine it
'ner ner ner ner'   I reckon it would completely
clear the queue in the chip shop.

They do have dinky little wing mirrors though, i
only just noticed them.

@QV - i am surprised Her Majesty doesn't already
have a pair of the gold ones -  for banquets and stuff.
Have to say i don't really like them.  A bit too much
'bling'.

Ok check these out

These are from 'costume national'  and the counter on the side tells you how many stairs you have climbed :zoinks:
:dunno: not something i usually have trouble with but i do like them.
 :screwy:

These are from Aphrodite Project platform - designed to keep sex workers safer!
The Aphrodite projects has taken steps to protect street-walkers with Platforms. The shoes have a built in audible alarm to scare off attackers, and when the alarm is triggered, the prostitute’s position is transmitted to either the police (in places where prostitution is legal) or to sex worker’s rights groups.

The GPS unit uses APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) a system which uses amateur radio frequencies to send data.
I just wonder how people can walk in those!

Surely, with today's technology, those can be made MUCH smaller. Like those LifeAlert things that have been advertised for years.

Well, I suppose they spend a lot of time on their backs or knees so hopefully there's not too much walking.

I see. Did you design the Ice Queen ones, or is that coincidence?

Beauty addicts are eyeing a new trend — custom-made, gold-plated contact lenses featuring 18 twinkling diamonds. The eerie and alluring new jewelry line from Shekhar Eye Research satisfies those who aren’t content to simply boast bling on their skin.

Creator Chandrashekhar Chawan tried his hand at gold-dust contact lenses, but they lacked the “sparkle effect” he was looking for. He found his inspiration, oddly, through cosmetic dentistry: Chawan’s wife had diamonds planted on her teeth at her last dentist visit, and he realized that people loved jewels anywhere and everywhere

Wow, why do I like these? But I do. Has to be the "shiny = happy" disorder. :facepalm2:

$15,000 a pair though.  :zombiefuck:

Electric Cinderella sandals with hidden stun gun
(http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a73/missteresabrown/electric-cinderella-shoes_Qvmgs_229-1.jpg?t=1313482124)

innocent looking transparent pumps? One of the sandals has an embedded 100,000 volts stun gun. In case of emergency, the gun can be used by breaking the tip of the shoes, but for only once and for all.
