You like having karma, I like you liking having karma.  I dont like having karma.  Why can't I not have karma?  Because of techinical limitations.  So if I must have karma, why cant I set it to something I cant keep track of?

I thought he meant that it was hypocritical to say you hated the karma system and wouldn't use it but still saying +1 (even though you don't actually give the karma point).  But I could have read him wrong.

No, I think he just wanted his actual literal karma point from you if you said +1 to him. 

If you don't like the karma system and you don't actually want to literally + somebody, maybe it would be better to give them a different compliment rather than +1.

Nonsense!  How was a wife expected to have dinner waiting for him if she had no idea of when he was coming home?

If he stayed out all night long unexpectedly and she said nothing, he might get the idea that she did not even care about his well-being at all.

How did these fifties women put up with it?
