I know someone who asks the same thing. It's related to arm strength, right? Having done weight training gives a person more viable veins?

Actually, I also see it as an issue of personal choice vs the health care system. Nurses have the procedure they want to follow regardless of whether it's most effective for an individual patient or not. I suppose because going outside the system requires that they use their own judgment, opening themselves up to making a mistake they're responsible for, plus requiring a (relatively) time-consuming exchange of information.

Not sure what it is, but I have always had clearly visible, puffy veins. I don't lift weights either, except my own a few years ago (pull-ups, sit-ups and push-ups), before I went to pot and got fat.

I did some lifting (thirty something years ago) when I was in school, but the weights were very light ones, intended more to develop speed while boxing rather than bulk muscle. We also played catch in a circle with bowling balls. That's about as close as I've gotten to weight training. The only "work-out" I do these days is punch and kick the bag when I am either stressed or losing my tactile sense. It helps both of those troubles immensely.

A couple of years ago, my veins were not so visible because I was much fatter, but I could still pop them out. I have lost forty five pounds in the past year and a half.

I am hoping Callaway will like this one:

A limerick:

background.setColor(blue);
user.frown();
sys.shutdown();
user.scream("OH, FUCK YOU");}

:D  Maybe funny as well is that I anticipated the punchline by the sudden use of present tense rather than the reference to the broadsword, which actually does "exist."

Lol- I didn't remember the broadsword but I figured there actually was one because it would be very much in keeping with the comic's style, so I googled it.  Sure enough, there it was....   :laugh:
