I'm in the middle of a bit of a prank, and I'm seeing how far it will go. I'm in a fiction writing workshop, and I submitted a story that will be handed out tomorrow. Two people in that class watch my blog. I posted the following on my blog:
Oh, by the way, to people in my workshop: The entire story is written in a code known as ROT26, just as a heads-up. If you can't read ROT26, reading my story will be pretty much impossible, so you should probably start looking for on online translator or even buy yourself a book on the subject, if there are any. There may not be, though, because it's such an obscure code.
I've gotten responses from two people. one is a tiny bit nerdy and I'm pretty sure he got the joke and is playing along (judging not only by what I know of him but by his actual post), but the other one is from my class and she's completely falling for it. here's our converstaion thus far:
one word: WONDAHFUL! :o/

It's a very important life skill if you want to read much of anything on the internet; and, to my understanding, there's a good deal of print out there that's in ROT26 as well.
If more comes of it I'll try to remember to update.
I've been feeling kind of evil lately. then again, all she'd have to do was google it and look around for a few minutes and she'd get the joke, so i'm not the only one at fault here.

I guess I'm in a prank-y mood after a friend of mine asked one of the psychology professors at my school to hijack her class for a moment. he was wearing a suit (senior photo) and he looked all official, and he went into the class and had her wait in the hall with me, and he told the class that she'd won the lottery and wouldn't be in today. Meanwhile, she and I were outside the class, chitchatting as she said over and over that she couldn't believe this (she was very amused). Finally she went into the classroom and everybody realized that it had been a prank.
This is the same professor who came in one Monday morning to a room full of balloons (well, a floor coated in them- I guess the helium diffused somehow because they were on the ceiling when we left them the day before) because we didn't know what to do with our Psi Chi decorations and we thought it would be kind of funny.
I never knew the kind of stuff that went on in the psychology department, but I guess it makes sense, considering we make a living out of fucking with people's heads. I don't expect anyone to laugh at my anecdotes, but please enjoy the evilness with a smirk if you can manage.
