I think that it depends on just how intimately you know someone before you have sex with them, Nocturnalist.

Abstinence before you know someone well enough to bet your life on having sex with them could be even safer than wearing condoms.  Do you still use them every single time after you have been married all these years?  My husband and I don't use them.  Of course we are both monogamous.  I guess that you could argue that one of us might be accidentally stuck with an infected needle at the doctor's office and then both of us could get hepatitis or AIDS if we don't use condoms, but that's not very likely.

Trigger said that he has been tested and he knows that he is healthy.
Yes, but if he's not getting the girls tested, his clean bill of health more indicates luck than skill.  With tests, though, the 'knowing the other person' thing becomes a great asset- the longer you have known someone, the better an idea of how high a risk they are to cheat on you (which would of course negate the 'clean bill of health.')

True, and if someone has not known the person for long enough to trust them before getting them tested, then even the 'clean bill of health' could be faked.
Sadly, yes- and that, with condoms, is the point at which my libido eclipses my sense of safety/paranoia and allows me to make somewhat questionable decisions.  I prefer to think of it as a nice first step toward trust- if I like someone well enough to want to do them, I'm inclined to be at a place where my judgement of them is at least high enough to think they're unlikely to fake test results, and take it as a good sign if they do actually get tested.  I know, though, that 'there is no safe sex.'

it is well known that PMS Elle is evil.
I think you'd fit in a 12" or at least a 16" firework mortar
You win this thread because that's most unsettling to even think about.

I think that Trigger is in a committed relationship and he was talking about his past.

Good for him :green: I'm glad he survived his past ;)

Hmmmm....I must have been really lucky.

My past?

Two virgins, I was one at the time of the first, and I was tested after one of them got in touch with me 15 years ago and said she was HIV positive. Even though it was highly unlikely I was, since I had very limited past and she had none, I still went to the Free Clinic and got tested. This was before my more recent 13-year sexual era. The only other two over the past 13 years were tested by default during pregnancies. Thus, I am clean. So if any of you eligible young ladies need some practice, you know where to cumcome. :green:

Relax, and have some fun!
Crazy, I'm halfway to crazy
Suicide would waste me
Homicide would break me

Tongue tied and tied to the tongue
Oh, is life as bad as dreams
I guess that's just the way it seems

I don't put myself at risk.

Unless you have super micro vision and can see infections clearly... then I'm afraid that, in my opinion (and probably the opinion of some others also), you probably have repeatedly put yourself at risk. Its true that condoms do not protect against everything... but short of abstinence, its better to be as safe as possible. No insult intended, but I'd consider you too much of a risk to get involved with sexually - this also goes for those who have been in unprotected sexual contact with you (if that were on the cards... though in reality it wouldn't be anyway - I'm not on the market - lol).

See I thought you said you weren't interested in men at all Nocti.
Good to see you keep your options open.  You are an ass  :asthing:

Hey I feel perfectly secure in my sexuality and simply do not mind in the least how that statement can be read. I knew somebody would bring the line up, but, quite frankly my sweet, I don't give a darn. :eyelash:

Nice cover Nocturnalist. No-one saw. Hey don't worry you are amoung friends here and no-one is going to give you a hard time for considering the same sex option in sexual relationships.
It is a small step to make - a proclaimation on a forum but I imagine soon you will be telling your workplace and loved ones. I am glad you graced us with the admission first. :D

Go Team Nocti!!!!  :asthing: :asthing: :asthing:
I2 today is not i2 of yesteryear. It is a knitting circle. Those that participate be they nice or asshats know their place and the price to be there. Odeon is the overlord

.Benevolent if you toe the line.

Think it is I2 of old? Even Odeon is not so delusional as to think otherwise. He may on occasionally pretend otherwise but his base is that knitting circle.

Censoring/banning/restricting/moderating myself, Calanadale & Scrapheap were all not his finest moments.

How to apologise to Scrap

So...what have we learned?

1.   Trigger11 does not have any STDs. He cannot emphasize this enough!!!
2.   Condoms are a good idea if you are promiscuous or early on in a relationship.
3.   Condoms are not 100% effective against STDs or pregnancy.
4.   Getting to know someone intimately prior to relations can also help reduce the risk.
5.   Asking your partner to get tested is not 100% effective in reducing your risk. They can always lie in order to get some.
6.   Trigger11 prefers the “rhythm section want ad” method of birth control.
7.   Nocturnalist is scared of Trigger11’s past.
8.   Trigger11 is sexually frustrated.
9.   Condom machines in the bed room are a bit too much.
10.   You can get STDs from sources other than relations.
11.   Trigger11 is obsessed with relating music lyrics to every day life.

Anything else?

"Rhythm Section Want Ad" by They Might Be Giants

In a world we call our home there's lots of room to roam
Plenty of time to turn mistakes into rhyme
There's a place for those who love their poetry
It's just across from the sign that says, "Pros only"

So if you like a band with a chick singer,
Say your cup of tea is a wall of trombones
If you dig Menudo, or MDC we salute you the way we know
For every one with dollar signs in his eyes
There must be hundreds who look at you as if you're some kind of
Rhythm section want ad
No others need apply to the rhythm section want ad
I'll tell you why

Hats off to the new age hairstyle made of bones
Hats off to the use of hats as megaphones
Speak softly, drive a Sherman tank
Laugh hard, it's a long way to the bank

Do you sing like Olive Oyl on purpose
You guys must be into the Eurythmics
For every one with dollar signs in his eyes
There must be hundreds who look at you as if you're some kind of
Rhythm section want ad
No others need apply to the rhythm section want ad
And here's the reason why
