I trusted my instincts and totally made my immediate supervisor look like an absolute monkey's arse today (trusting that his sense of humor would carry me through what I needed to tell him in front of a few of our truly genius co-workers.)  It happened and he laughed, but the ones who got what I had said were almost beside themselves in beginning to understand the subtlety of my attack.

I got him good, at his own game, but he does not quite get it (probably a fail, since I gave him credit for more intelligence than he brought to the "game").

Some of my co-worker geeks do, though!

Kind of let down, actually. I thought that my genuis would make me feel better, but doing that to a monkey is so course. I should have kept quiet, really

I do not know how I feel, to be most honest.  My ego has a full stomach, but my mind is starving.

It seems so obvious to me that my sup is closer in intelligence to a chimp than he is to someone like me or three others I can identify with at work.  This is NOT a win. Punking the monkey is abusive.

I lose.

Thanks, but ...

I edited some, because I am not sure just how I feel.

Hot and sweaty and disgusting.

I know the feeling. Hope that weather passes soon where you are, since you don't have air conditioning.  :thumbdn:

The weather was a lot better today but I still went for a swim in the afternoon.

Another :plus: for honest self-searching (and for writing about it so well).

Intensely hot and sweaty after making a 45 minute phone call outside in 94 degree heat index at 10:00 pm so no one in the house would hear what I said. >:D
