I want to run away to a new nation after my degree. Which direction should I run? Or should I just jump?

Depends, what are your political beliefs? How much danger are you looking for? In what kind of system do you want to establish yourself?

As for just jumping, it depends on how your instincts tend to lead you. Jumping has worked well for me in terms of growing spiritually, but not in growing in the practical world. A friend of mine who abhors jumping blind has made huge strides in money and business, but can't get a girl to save his life.

Politically I believe in Meritocracy, which of course is a system that would benefit ourselves an awful lot. Dangerwise I am a tad indecisive, I both love it whilst being a coward. As for system, one I would feel happy in, not just now, but for decades to come. Am I being unrealistic?

Your friend I imagine is brilliant at big talk, but loathes small talk. Like most people who are actually intelligent.

I think you should research the political directions of European countries and figure out which one is most ripe to head towards increased meritocracy. I don't know much about current politics myself so this is all theoretical. But you're at a perfect time to position yourself, before you've built up a network of contacts.

But I don't expect that you would be able to find a system you could be happy in for decades by jumping now, any more than people can find a happy marriage with the first person they ever date. You might have to jump to get it out of your system, or to figure out what you're capable of, or to learn what's out there. Then once you have a better sense of your strengths, you can position yourself more strategically to make a long-term impact.
